Someone care to explain me why i love the concept of the Dawn Of War 2 series, but i can't get myself to play it, because i'll become kind of bored? Do you think Dawn Of War 1 will entertain me more?
Honestly the only thing keeping me from wanting DoW2 is lack of bases and unit production.

I think it's the same problem for me. I mean the story is so fucking amazing, but the gameplays lacks something.. Like base building.

The place I go to, to play warhammer is shutting down but a different store will be moving in and would be selling GW stuff but abit more limited. So about over a year ago when I got into warhammer I fought my first match against the tournament hoster, I lost all my stuff to a captain with a single wound left. Now that this is their last week open I'm going up against him again, but with my own army. For a Marine vs Marine list, does this sound good?

Seems alright, but get rid of the Captain and take a Chaplain in Termie Armour, stick him with your Assault Termies and they get a real boost.

Probably an utterly terrible one.
Just bought a few imp guards to have fun painting with. Also, drawing maps is rather tedious, but very fun.
Tried last stand with three volunteers from the general chat, we all went Spacemarines. I was level 10 with the power axe/plasma pistol assault jump set, a guy called Fray took lightning claws and a shield with the Sacred armour, and the last guy Jagged took a similar set to mine.
The other two players both had dreads, so we lasted until wave 19 on AOK. We hadn't died once until wave 11. I darted around the map smashing the enemy vehicles to pieces whilst Jagged went Infantry crowd control and took merciless strike. Fray took the role of a tank who would taunt the tougher enemies.

Yesterday, I bought Dawn of War at a yard sale for 2 USD. It is a very good game.
I'm currently composing a 2000 point Dark Eldar list for use in a 2v2 with one of my Dark Heresy groups. After 2 failures of a game my tactic will be daring, but the pay-off will be spectacular.
2 Haemonculi with Wrack Bodyguards in 2 Venoms, both Haemonculi have Webway gates. I stop about 13 inches from the enemy line, disembark the Haemonculi, activate the gate and then pour out every Wych, Talso, Cronos, Incubi, Mandrake and Wrack I have. They can charge on the turn they arrive, Wracks start with Feel No Pain, if the Cronos kills anyone it can grant any squad within 12 inches the pain token. So much Feel No Pain and Furious Charge :fap:

It can be far more complex. This is just a simple strategy that'll likely end with one team in tears.
If it's mine it's because the Haemonculi got killed and every unit had to slog across the field and get shot to bits. If it's their tears it's because I deposited all sorts of nasty units right into their army.
I might wait until 6th edition (might be a while but whatever) with all this matt ward crap going on to be honest.
