11 minute gameplay / interview of Space Marine (sorry about the Gamespot)
So why exactly did my Imperial Troops fail to destroy one strategic post in FoK when there was 43 of them ?
In the end I won by territorial control.
I played this mod like 2-3 times and I already really dislike it.
Because lasguns aren't powerful to destroy a structure, kind of makes sense really.
On a Related note:
Marines Vs Orks
The vile Xenos (Tankbusta Squad) charged a combat squad, their fate sealed, as this combat squad contained the marine who is now known as God Sergeant. The loss of his comrades only helped to increase his wrath. He won the combat, ran them down and then slayed them all to a man. But he was not finished yet, advancing on yet another Tankbusta squad, Rokkits bouncing off his forehead like hail, he charged, winning the combat and yet again running them down. Again he charged on until he met his nemesis, the vile Warboss, who stood no chance against his might. Finally he was brought down in a heroic charge against a large group of Nobz, heroically drawing fire unto himself so that his comrades could flank and destroy the enemy.
This being the same sergeant who has defeated and entire squad of Grey Knights by himself and Kept a Daemon Prince tied up in hand to hand.
He's now the ONLY unit in my squad to have earned himself a partial gold repaint (All my others having silver as the metallic colour)
Coming a close second is my Termie Chaplain, LC Termie squad, killing 76 Guardsmen in 2 turns.
Also that Sergeant in Space Hulk with the Thunder Hammer, held off FIFTEEN Genestealers, on the opposite end of the spectrum is Tropper Dipshit, who blew up his assault cannon, plus himself, the first time he tried to use it.
I have a veteran heavy bolter operator who held off two squads of fire warriors with his squad. He killed close to twenty of them before surviving a railgun blast damage shot meant to assassinate him. Afterwards, when his squad got upgraded to a 5th edition Sternguard, he helped wipe out a guardsman squad and faced off against Commissar Yarrick. The squad fired all four of their bolter rifles at him, but he came back from the brink of death twice. In a last ditch effort, the marine killed Yarrick, saving his squad from the angry claw. In both games, the squad has only taken two casualties, both of which occurred in the first game. The squad remained unharmed in the second game, despite the defeat I suffered at the hands of a Leman Russ Executioner and a third army which composed of Black Templars.
It is worth noting that a Black Templars sergeant ripped apart about twelve of my marines before instantly killing my Librarian with his power fist. My Captain killed the enemy sergeant after a three turn battle with an enemy captain armed with twin lightning claws.
Regardless, I fixed up the heavy bolter veteran by painting his robes black to match my new color scheme, and I give him a hood instead of his bare head. Three of the five veterans in the squad don't wear helmets, but they all have black robes. Builds personality.

It`s really fun, I`ve played it yesterday in an event.
On one map we`ve been pinned by tyranids on the last objective. We had like 2 devastators with heavy bolters (me and my friend) and we were killing anything smaller than a carnifex within seconds.
[editline]25th July 2011[/editline]
It was a bloodbath. I could see like 10 tyranid corpses lying around (it was 5v5 by the way)
I remember seeing this one instant in battlereport where a lone chaos spacemarine punched a reaver titan in the foot and the titans arm fell off.

Doesn't sound too improbable.
I mean, Rayven's sergeant managed to defeat a Land Raider when only it and the sergeant were left on the field.
started playing dow2.
It's heretical how much shit the blood ravens steal.
Those bloody magpies
"In the name of the...ooh....shiny!"
I bet they stole the titan of the previous DOW winter assault and since their treasure stockpile was too small they buried it for future use.
Just finished reading the second Gaunt's Ghosts omnibus, or more accurately the Sabbat Martyr book. A lot of the holy shit moments are really powerful, most notably [sp]Kolea is back[/sp] and [sp]"Colm Corbec lay dead"[/sp]
that reminded me, I need to finish reading mine

What did they steal?
They don't really steal :v:
They just call their "artifacts" what they are not.
Also, this exterminatus HL2 mod is pretty good, while playing somebody behind me voice chatted to me 'Hey, let's take our armor off later and perform some heresy..'
They get gifted some shit, they name their shit after others and they find some other shit.
using a bolter/meltagun in one hand and thunder hammer in the other?
not sure how i feel about that...
What did they steal?
Everything.
HERESY! his jump pack runs out of fuel and it just falls off!
bah ninjas

Not even a Force Commander in DOW2 could do that, and that Titus guy is only a Captain.
I call heresy.
Everything.
Are you talking about the artifacts they found in Governor Vandis's vault on Meridian?
I bring you the completely true, 100% fluff-accurate article on the Blood Ravens' wargear-stealing shenanigans

Captain does out-rank Force Commander, it seems.

Baseless assumptions, blind accusations and coincidences
Captain does out-rank Force Commander, it seems.
I was a bit unsure on that, but either way, a space marine shouldn't be able to hold a thunder hammer and a bolter at the same time.
What did they steal?
Stuff from other chapters/companies/whatever ends up in their hands and they claim it was a gift, but the people who supposedly gave it them didn't know about it.
I was a bit unsure on that, but either way, a space marine shouldn't be able to hold a thunder hammer and a bolter at the same time.
Why noot? Since they can hold a Thunder hammer and a Storm Shield at the same time, a Bolter shouldn't be difficult at all to unwield.
And yeah Force Commander is outranked by Captain

Said thunder hammer is smaller, plus isn't that only worn by assault terminators?
Anyone wanna play some Exterminatus Sourcemod?

So they're not just Bloody Magpies, they Bloody Fanboy Magpies?
