No. Everything.

Couldn't get it done today, so to make it up ill post whats happened so far.
In the opening turn the Orks moved at the same space in two large blocks on the left flank and down the center of the table, the center hiding the Warboss behind a mob of boys and Kans. The left flank was led by the fast attack choices of the ork force- 3 bikes, 3 deffkopta's and a truck with mob of ork boys with loads of Big Shoota's and Rokkit Launcha's not far behind.
(note that the pictures were supposed to be taken at the end of turn 1 but instead they are of turn 2's move phase)

The Devastators in the white building opened fire on the fast attack column, destroying all of the Kopta's and all but one bike. The Trukk had its Big Shoota destroyed as well. On the center the other Devastator squad opened on the Deff Dreads and Killa Kans closing on the Tactical squad and Predator to the left, destroying one Dread, a weapon on a Kan and immobilizing another dread. The Ork Shooting in turns 1 and two was rather dreadful, but the Ork Mek with Shokk Attak Gun did manage to kill four Spacemarines in one shot.
In Turn 3 the Devastators on the left flank fired again and destroyed a Wartrakk with three Orks nearby. The Land Speeder was immobilized and used what seemed like its last turn to finish off the Fast attack column vehicles that were left. The Devastators in the center missed everything, the Predator was wrecked and the Tactical squad annihilated. The Scout snipers in the white building scored a wound on the Ork Warboss amongst his warband. In the move phase Terminators deployed behind the Orks in the center, including a Librarian Epistolary which stunned the battlewagon and teleported closer into the fray, a Chaplain with melee Terminators, and the command squad of the Omega Lords chapter master.

(Yes, we made that walker on the left. The Ork principle is to scavenge scrap from anything they can find, so whats to say I can't make my own and nominate what weapons they have in line with the rules)

Also, a squad of Ork boys was heading for the red compound from the right flank.
Thats all for now, im just waiting for my opponent to do his shooting phase.

Kinda silly that a Warlord has, iirc a FAV of 14, same as a land raider.

It's probably due to balancing issues but I agree it is pretty silly.
To be honest not sure why you folks recommend FoK for MP since it's horribly balanced. If I were you I'd either use DCpro or SSpro. Both vastly improve the base game and actually do their best to implement as much balance as they can.
because it's real-time tabletop
and tabletop is nowhere near balanced

They recommend because it has 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuniiiiits that they ctrl + A across the map in giant blobs, ie fanboy simulator :wank: :wank:
It's not even close to table top and HorusHeretic has said so outright, it's what he and every other never-actually-played-a-large-game fanboy wants. Giant ridiculous broken armies. The same people that play Empire at War over and over on easy with modded economies for the purteh splosions.
Except there is nothing wrong with pretty explosions and huge battles, you tactical wankoff.
Except there is, which is why no ones plays FoK except against the computer.
Many chapters find that absolutely offencive

By trash, you mean priceless artifacts that are discarded by Sergeants when they obtain better weapons. When the "Armageddon" exploded, it must have rained trinkets.
Just finished the battle.
The Orks failed to kill anything with shooting in turn 3, so it immediately went into the first proper scrap in melee. The Terminators killed 75% of the Ork boys and Nobz, including the Warboss. The Warboss was killed by one of the Terminators in the Chaplain squad, next to whom was what we called Sergeant Useless for the duration of the game. He failed to kill anything with his hammer and then he failed a 2+ armour save.
The Ork revenge however was swift in their assault phase as the Kans charged the 1st company Captain and the Space Marine Chapter Master, scoring 2 wounds on both, whilst the last boys near the Command squad killed everything but the Captain and Master.

Turn 4 saw the Ork Trukk move past the speeder and next to the building, where its Boys exited. The Boys in the Battlewagon also got out at long last, and the Orks on the right flank got into the Red fortress. The Ork shooting finally woke up as a Common Ork boy with Slugga pistol killed the bloody Chapter Master. An Ork with a rokkit launcha finished off the Captain as well. The Shokk Attak gun missed but the Orks who got out of the Trukk on the left butchered half the people inside the first room of the white building. The Space Marine shooting managed to destroy both remaining Kans and the Librarian cast Vortex of Doom on the Ork boys next to the Battle Wagon twice, killing 9.

The Snipers managed to score a wound on the Mek with Shokk attak gun but he still had one wound left. In the Assault phase my Librarian was charged by the Deff Dread, which couldn't chink the armour on him and in turn the Librarian jumped on it, pulled out the crew and blew it to pieces with his mind. (See picture) the same happened to a bunch of silly Ork boys who tried to kill him as well. The Chaplain squad took no losses despite being assailed by everything the Orks could throw at it, and the Orks on the left finished off all the Scouts except one in the first room of the white building. The one scout had just a rocket launcher and in an anti-climatic move, failed to hit anything. But he had still locked the Orks in combat for a turn, meaning they would have to finish him off before moving again.

Turn 5 started with the Orks on the right pouring into the Red fortress, 6 going up the ladder towards the Devastators and the rest going for the Tactical Squad. The Tactical squad did a *ahem* tactical retreat out of the building while the Orks completely missed their shooting at the Devastators, despite being meerly a few feet in front. The Shokk Attak Gun missed and the Orks still couldn't kill the last Terminators. In the Space Marine shooting phase the Scouts that ran away from the Fast attack column at the start "forgot" to shoot at anything and had no kills at all as their last chance went. The Devastators in the red building turned around and turned the Orks into a thick pile of goo with the aid of the Scout snipers, although one survived.
The Final assault phase was tense, with the Orks in the white building killing the Scout with ease and moving into the Tactical squad upstairs. They failed to kill any of them, contesting the building. Meanwhile the Librarian finished off the Orks and teleported into the Red fortress, where he sucked 4 boys into the Warp and killed a further three with his Staff. The Space Marine Devastator Sergeant took his power fist and gave the Ork a massive wallop, killing it. The Final Ork Warbiker attacked the Chaplain and scored one wound, but alas not enough even with the help of the Mega armoured nob on the opposite side. The Chaplain couldn't kill either so still noone had died in the Termie squad.
This brought the assault phase and turn 5 to an end. Both buildings were contested and both leaders were dead, so we said it was a draw but in a somewhat selfish move rolled for Victory anyway.
The Orks won.
Space Marine bodycount

(Orks had so many dead in the tubs we couldn't remember which was dead or not used, and some of the images won't show as the image server for them is down, sorry)
I would have to say that man of the match was the Librarian, who managed to kill 20 Ork boys, a Deff Dread, the BattleWagon and the Orks entering the Red fortress.
I just played some exterminatus beta and it's fun despite it's many laws.
Mostly in the animation department(DIAPER TERMINATOR BRIGADE) and sound department and pacing.
but it's fun.
Lycantrope was hilarious, until a terminator appeared next to me and punched me to death.
on a ledge unaccessable to terminators
and I was invisible

Gamerman, that was a pretty nice battle report, but why is a Devastator Sergeant using a power fist?
Also, why would you agree to that being a draw, i'd say you pretty much won that battle.

A lot of the time we made models from new kits we didn't read the Codex first.
Care to explain what's wrong with huge battles and massive explosions?
There's nothing wrong with massive explosions, one of the reasons why 40K has remained popular as long as it has. Huge battles are another story. There are always limits and resources, and a threshold after which any use of of strategy, force management or technique has become fucking pointless, no matter the granularity of control, as Supreme Commander and EVE have already demonstrated far more eloquently than any wall of text.
anyone else think a R.U.S.E style game based on 40k will be anygood?

Well. If it did away with the stacking that is so involved in ruse.
If it did away with stacking then yeah maybe, because the thing is. In ruse, 200 tiny italian tanks can take out a super heavy tank. The game lacks any type of realistic damage model other then "MORE IS BETTER"
I love the game and a 40k type game on the engine would be nice though.

Men of War would probably be a better game to base large battles on.
You do realize the scale of Men of War is such that unit firing ranges are a tenth of their real-life equivalents, right?
You do realize the scale of Men of War is such that unit firing ranges are a tenth of their real-life equivalents, right?
If ranges were based on fluff for a grand 40k strategy, then quite a few people would just go Deathstrike with IG blob on the front lines, covering them from enemies. Deathstrikes would be stationed a few maps away.
Actually, that would be great cooperation, in my opinion.
Which is why Iriszoom would work better than GEM.

Wargame: European Escalation (uses RUSE's Iriszoom engine) is going to allow for modding. So a 40K mod for it? Possible.

Does all of that really matter?
I mean, why do you think that FoK shouldn't be played on multiplayer?
I loved FOK because Space Marines aren't wimps firing automatic 10mm rounds out of bolters anymore. Instead they actually boom when fired and they travel like they are explosive bolts. And you could actually customize the HQ choices you pick with proper Wargear.
What happened to rules regarding Terminator Command Squads?
And "Land" in Land Speeder and Land Raider refers to the finder of the STC blueprints?
And how is it that Lexicannum states that Rogal Dorn was found on Terra?
Who is Sanguinor?
And worshippers of the the Imperial Cult follow a book of a Traitor Primarch (Lorgar)?
