Another thing about DoW1 is that you couldn't retreat in it like you could in DoW2. All you could do was simply run away from the enemy if you were losing the battle, and i would often lose units/squads because they would be attacking my units while i was running away.
Fucking Eldar and their Fleet of Fuck.
Seeing as /tg/ has Angry Marines and Pretty Marines, we need some kind of Facepunch Marines.
Fucking Eldar and their Fleet of Fuck.
Ghazghkull's WAAAAGH! is worse(For you that is) as it always equals to six for their fleet of foot rolls.
What I do when I'm bored:
I've got a question. I've got a codex open for imperial guard and I'm wanting to build a 400 point army, but here's the problem, how do you calculate point costs of individual units? All I'm seeing is stats. Thanks guys
It should be there in the codex around the end. Also, 400 point?
Also, 400 point?
40k in 40 minutes, starting small.
Flip to page 89 of the IG Codex. It'll have everything from that page onwards including points costs and equipment choices. Also you're better off having the point limit to 500 to begin with, as games are generally multiples of 500 (500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 etc etc) and for 400 points you can probably get just a Command Squad, 3 Vet Squads with Chimeras and a couple of heavy weapons for the Vets (Meltas or plasmas usually) I'd do a quick list with Battlescribe, But it appears GW hit them hard and made them remove their data files. Actually, no, you can't get 3 vet squads in Chimeras, 2 Squads in Chimeras, 3 Meltas each with enough points to get a few bits for your command Squad.
I want to rate you bad reading so bad. Keep going, you're looking at fluff and rules. Points and stuff are just past the gallery I think.
Found it, had to go past wargear.
You damn well better have found it since, you know, i gave you the exact page number.
Yup, thanks for that. Please excuse my ignorance, I've just gotten interested in 40k. Trying to learn a bit.
Feel free to ask anything. We will only judge you.
Very well, how hard do you think it would be to paint imperial guard fatigues in a manner similar to German flecktarn camouflage? Examples: [t]http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/9007/p1030303lc1.jpg[/t]
you should do black, white, gray and orange. Black armor. White clothing, with a bit gray and orange stripes.
Something like this?
Whatever you like best, just a idea :v: [editline]12th August 2011[/editline] Shouldn't there be pre-made camos in Codex? I prefer to follow those because they follow actual canon. Makes me feel more connected to the army I'm playing.

Something like this is what I had in mind.

Ohhh sweet, thanks guys! Also, how much hatred would I get if I ever painted my space marines pink? I mainly use the Hearts'n'Shit on Dawn of War 2 and some people go apeshit
I wouldn't mind. I've seen a guy who named his chapter the Emperor's canaries. They're yellow space marines with the silhouette of a canary on the shoulder.

Make pretty marines.

Yea, that bolter sounded terrible.
"Worry not Captain-" *pewpewpew* "I've saved some Orks for you" I just can't get over how peashooter it sounds. :smith:
At least when you play, it doesn't sound like that, based on what i've heard from the gameplay.
