Ya in Flatout 1 Bugbear had some fun with us. Most the cones in the game were set to one Restitution number, but Bugbear gave some special cones a higher Restitution number ( more kick ), that could roll your car if you were unlucky enough to hit one. I called these special cones, "killer cones". These "killer" cones had the same look as the normal cones. I found these "killer" cones when I use Pav's track editor for Flatout 1 to move track objects. Hmmm, it took me 5 years to post my first post in the forums. :O
Welcome to facepunch, and have a nice stay Anyway, wasn't there a tire in a custom FOV3 derby arena that would send your car flying out of the skybox?

I had a lot fun with the restitution settings with that derby pit!! That my most favorite derby pit out of all of the ones I have done for Flatout 1 & 2. The restitution setting in FO2 did not have a strong kick as in FO1. No killer tires in Flatout 2. Edit - OOPS, I'm wrong, I think your refering to the King of the Roof derby pit I did for FO1. I made some killer tires with some major restitution, so when your car fell off the room and landed on a tire, tire destoryed car and car went fly into the air.

Haha, so much reused cars in these trailers. I am not gonna say these cars names, you should know them by now. What I also want is a better way to edit the music playlist, heard it was a pain in the neck for FlatOut 2, it should just be a folder full of MP3 files and you can add extra music and it will randomly play during gameplay. Does not sound too hard.

The handling seems alot like Burnout's, especially like in Ultimate Box, where you reach the maximum steering capacity(do not know how am I supposed to spell this out, correct me)literally the second you start turning.

I don't have high hopes for this. Flatout 2 will always be the best to me. Ultimate carnage, while it does look amazing, also modified the vehicle handling and made it 'simpler' to drive. It's harder to lose traction, and especially harder to spin yourself out by clipping objects while going around a corner. Collision volumes around the maps have also been streamlined and smoothed out so you don't get caught on corners of objects as much. It's much less punishing and I do not like that one bit, especially when it severely limits your ability to wipe out an opponent on the face of an armco barrier. They just hit a magical angled surface instead and are pushed back onto the track.
No vehicle chassis deformation killed what little interest I had in this game.
Was browsing trought FlatOut joint. Seems like the trailer is an old build of FlatOut 3 http://flatoutjoint.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=3800.msg22528#new Team6 will set up polls on their site so we can express our thoughts and preferences towards the game. Also, they released some gameplay videos, that I will add in the OP. Here, have some offroad mode :

Now I've gone from little hope to no hope :(
No vehicle chassis deformation killed what little interest I had in this game.
See Flatout 2

I believe the graphics engine is a DOWNGRADE in comparison to FO2. The gameplay could have been fun, but NOPE. ITS MARIO KART! Wow, I just looked at the characters they have. all the men are racist stereotypes, and the winner from the previous game is the only fucking normal guy. Oh and all the fucking women are HOOKERS. Seriously, fucking look at it: http://flatout3.team6-games.com/?page=characters
Looks like garbage. RIP Flatout.
Holy shit, I LOVED Flatout. It doesn't need to be made again though.

Even Mario Kart has better driving physics for fuck sake.
I seriously can't wait for this game!

Just so you know, offroad not your normal race: A quick show of the new Offroad in FlatOut3. Goal of this game mode is destroying as many objects and opponents as possible, collecting jumps, build up drift-points and the total result of these activities is multiplied by your finish position. Chaos and destruction! The night time racing should be a little more challenging.

The thing I loved most in FlatOut was the mixture between Arcade and Realistic. FlatOut 3 went for a totally arcade approach, bust still seems fun. I've got mixed feelings about this. My propension is to buy it, but I'm still not sure.

Is that Need for Speed or FlatOut? Because I can not tell, that there is mostly drifting, not an everyday action in FlatOut 2.
Don't think you can judge handling very well from a video, need a hands on to really know. There will be a demo for you guys to try, but don't know yet when it will be ready.
Honestly, I personally am looking forward to this game. I'm not really sure about how will it turn out, but it still seems like something fun. It might not be shiny, it might be too arcadey, but it still seems like a fun game. I'll wait thought : 30€ isn't little

Looks like shit to be honest. I'm sad.
Yeah, it looks like garbage. The original FlatOut was the greatest.
Yeah, it looks like garbage. The original FlatOut was the greatest.
Tough crowd. Hope the demo come out soon, then you guys can give it try and see if game is really garbage or not. Ya agree Flatout 1 is better than Flatout 2. Took more skill with the real world physics of the objects in the game and getting to race on snow tracks. Strange thing about Flatout, it look like a bump to pass racing game, but the players I race online with in Flatout 1, expected you to race clean or you were not welcome in their lobby.

I enjoyed it, but it wasn't good at.
