Is there any reason to get the achievements right now ? Like for example the TF2, CSS ones etc. Or should I just wait until the event starts ?

Holy crap, the Three Wise Men achievement in Poker Night is easy. You have to have a pair of Kings in your hands, then when the dealers shows out the cards, and there is a King within those cards, you have to either defeat everyone by beating their cards or making them fold. It's easy!

So, I decided to buy 102 solly hats instead. Let's hope the coal rewards are interesting atleast. I presume this will function like the summer sale, ticket based-like. Only, we're using coal now.
