The holiday sale achievements list is down so its not updating people properly.
I believe that's what made my Steam tab for gifts disappear too.
Bought the max payne bundle, I dunno if the games are that great but hey slow motion and ragdoll effects are in it right? Good enough for me.
I think the achievements page along with the Gift Pile was brought down by Valve to fix it.

You can buy the games now for 50% off. Or, you can wait until the coupon is valid, but the sale is over, and cash in the coupon for at most 50% off, either way gets you the same price.
I hope everything will be fixed by tomorrow.

I don't know how long the coupons last, but my brother said it's good until March, so if DOTA 2 were to release before then, I would think you could use it on that.

It only works on titles released before January 2, 2012 and it's only valid Jan 2, 2012 - March 1, 2012.
