http://www.kotaku.com.au/2012/01/unexpected-sincerity-disabilities-girls-and-katawa-shoujo/ At least kotaku went into more depth about the game than RPS did.
I skimmed a bit of it, but that seemed to be a very respectfully written article. You don't have to be a pedo- ok. No. Just remove that line. No. GOD NO.
You don't have to be a pedo- ok. No. Just remove that line. No. GOD NO.
That title shows that either A. we won't give a shit B. we can laugh at ourselves.
Any other good VNs? This was the first I've ever played, I tried the cradle song preview, it was a bit more immersive than Katawa Shoujo.

For now, you should check out Fate/stay night, Clannad or anything on that page.
I've noticed I lost 5kg from when I started playing KS(it's made me realize how little I've eaten this past few days). Has anyone else lost weight?
i'd rather have "It's not a dating sim!!!1!one" as the tagline
Oh my god what is that on the nurses computer desktop!? That really scared me for a moment when I saw it.
Does Ace attorney count as/double as Interactive visual novel?
Does Ace attorney count as/double as Interactive visual novel?
It counts as a visual Novel
It counts as a visual Novel
How about Layton series? Or are they more puzzle games?
Does Ace attorney count as/double as Interactive visual novel?
any game where your actions alter the story line
I have trouble seeing the Ace Attorney series as visual novels but I suppose I see why you could call them that.
any game where your actions alter the story line
No, Mass Effect is an example - it's definitively not a visual novel, but your action alter the storyline all the same. [editline]12th January 2012[/editline]
How about Layton series? Or are they more puzzle games?
I didn't play the Layton series, so I won't comment. :v: I think I would say any game with a considerable amount of text (In a text box) while having an image of background and foreground/characters with music could be considered a visual novel.
almost 100 pages on a thread about a visual novel about crippled girls and lemons facepunch i am proud of you
I've just finished Emi's route as the first one ever. It was touching, but didn't make me cry, even though it was pretty close few times.
I need to add an addendum. When I went to bed and these two tunes began playing in my mind: I actually started to cry silently for a long time. I think my emotions don't just come immediately. And even though I finally fell asleep, I woke up like 3 hours after and couldn't sleep for over an hour because I've been thinking about Emi all the time, thus finding the post quoted below at least somewhat true.
That feel when you fall in love with a person that doesn't exist.
I just completed Rin's line. My mind is completely shattered right now, I had no idea that the story would hit me so hard as it did. I was constantly reminded of myself a few years ago, I just did what I did because I didn't know what to do otherwise and then they transferred me to another class for no apparent reason(For me anyway, I later found out why) and I, just stopped, I completely shutdown. Everyday I went to school, I hated it, I lost touch with all the people I knew and the other people in my class were A-holes. Everything started anew when I flunked the year and I found myself in yet another class although these guys weren't so bad as I initially thought they would be and I kind of became more open again, still feeling really down though. Then I went to college and I guess that is where this ends, I never really closed off that chapter in my life, and now it hit me like a brick. I think I am going to lay down for a while.

After completing Hanako's last week, I haven't touched the game once. I don't think I can do any of the other characters, I should of done Hanako's last :(
After completing Hanako's last week, I haven't touched the game once. I don't think I can do any of the other characters, I should of done Hanako's last :(
Just force yourself to do another one. That's what I did. And I just finished Shizune's route, it was very tiring and I kept getting distracted a lot. So my playtime for it was 15hrs.
Gotta love media that makes you genuinely think, eh?
I'm not thinking right now, my mind is completely fucked, I can't think straight anymore and my legs feel weak. I'm a complete blur.
Just finished Emi's storyline. I didn't find it as emotional to me as Lilly's or even Hanako's, but I still very much enjoyed it. It feels good to actually finish it properly after I screwed up the first time. Can anybody give me any recommendations on other Visual Novels that are similar to this and may create the same kind of feelings?
