I'm guessing wildly here, but I got the impression the endings are more "score-based", I.E each choice will steer you towards or away from a character and if you end up not being close enough to a character to get the good ending (not meeting a required score or whatever) you'll get a bad or neutral ending.

That's part of the process that decides which character's route you follow, but I think the actual endings are straight choice-based.

Rin's is also Win or Lose.
