I'm not going to make people who enjoy visual novel look retarded, hell, that would make me look even worse since I made the thread and shared my opinion on like 7 of them. It's mostly direct to the point what is a VN, what do they offer, and a couple of example of good/recommended visual novels and a few of my personal tips too.
honestly I'm not too great at writing that kind of thing so you'll have to go elsewhere for reviews. digital and jisei have plenty around, and the others are short enough that you can reasonably do one yourself
Is it bad that I haven't played this game listening to the ingame music? I always mute the music and listen to parts of the First Blood, Sherlock Holmes and The Game of Shadows, The Dark Knight (The sadder cues), Heavy Rain, and Barber's Adagio for Strings?
Also good luck on the VN Megathread, I really hope that people give it a chance unlike a lot of FP.

Well, since it's Facepunch Visual Novel Megathread, I'd be much more interested in seeing what facepunchers think of a visual novel than a random guy on the internet. Also, it's not like I wouldn't enjoy "Doing one of the VN myself", but I'm rather busy, and if my OP contains only my opinion, then it would be mostly MY visual novel megathread, which is something I don't really want.

So I was at work today doing a dough ball in the back (I work at a local pizza joint) and listening to some music, chillin' and generally doing nothing. I got my music on and I'm listening to it idly when I start thinking about when I finished up Hanako's route and how the ending was nice. Suddenly the last fourth of the song kicks in and my brain starts paying attention to it when I'm thinking about [sp]where she breaks down in the park at the very end and it leads into the good ending[/sp] and my mind becomes a fucking train wreck for some reason. It's like that part of the route and the last 2:45 of the song went perfectly and my brain wanted to cry.
Poker faced the whole thing.

They are still visual novels in their own right, but I can't add every VN that exists in the OP, only ones that are considered very popular or very good.
