I usually get the bad endings first kind of on purpose, so I can feel better about how it turned out in the end.
That said, the main menu theme and the little snippets are enough to make me tear up really bad.

I dunno, I feel like Rin's arc is the best one at least in the feel department, but that might be because I had a minor mental breakdown during it.

It would have been the best if it was longer, it's the shortest arc in the entire game, only like half a year passes in her arc.
I think emi's was the best. The problems faced in that route are ones that many people can relate to. For example my parents have been going through a horrible divorce/we'll work it out type thing for the last seven months, and when it ended (fucking yesterday) it felt like my entire world was kidnapped, skullfucked, then dropped in an old canal where the body got eaten by rats and raped by tweekers.
That and personal restrictive medical problems I have a complex about added a new level of understanding, but that's a bit rarer than familial problems.
So yeah that was probably the most subjectively heart-wrenching route in the game. Sort of makes me wish I didn't do it first, but then I might have gotten bored with KS by the time I reach it.

I could relate to Emi's too seeing as my father passed away last summer, I felt the most connection with Rin's arc though.

Everyone should try Rin's arc, even if you're not really interested initially. I found it very good, and from all the stories here it seems like one of the best arcs of the game.
Seeing as there is no Visual Novel Megathread yet, what other visual novel can give me feels (or even more feels) that KS gave me?

I think I'm going to do all the arcs, but maybe with 1 or two days in between to sort of 'reset' to my normal state, and then ending it with my first arc (Rin's) again. Shizune and Emi are the two lighter arcs, right? I'll just do those inbetween the heavier ones (like Lilly's) so I don't get everything thrown at me at once.

We don't know what happens after Hanako's arc, because it ends a million years before Lilly's. For all we know, getting together with Hisao could have made her [sp] come out of her shell in a more dramatic way, and start making friends and acquaintances immediately[/sp]

And I don't think you can expect a part 3. IIRC 2 and 1 came out a long time ago

Yeah I was just saying that there is some kind of more information and since it's pretty much the only one you get from one of the writers you should read it even if it's non canon.

I have read it, and it's nice, but considering we have no word of God on the case of 'Hanako after getting on with Hisao', and her arc being tons shorter, I don't see why people say Hanako ended up better in Lilly's arc.
I'd say she ended up better in her own arc, once you remember the final CG from there. That doesn't seem like a shy person to me.

Well as far as we know she ended up better in Lilly's arc but that's just because we don't know what really happens after hers.
And yeah I guess she'd end up better after seeing the last CG.
I guess people just say that because we get to know more about her change in Lillys arc than in her own which doesn't mean she won't change after finishing her arc.
