I actually got really happy when I did Hanako's arc. Sure, she had a few backtracks in her progress, but she made progress and I constantly felt like I was getting somewhere with her. Whenever it would feel like nothing's working, I just thought about the bigger picture, where I had started and where I was now. Surely the direction I've been going can't be that bad, right?
Just stay optimistic and this game will be amazing. I don't know how, I've had this kind of feeling for a few months and it won't go away. It came even before I played this game. Not sure I even want it to leave, it's friggin amazing to think about stuff in this perspective.
Plus it makes this VN much easier to navigate.
