It's not really a waifu level thing though. I just actually care about the characters in the game and what happens to them, whereas people in real life...I just can't empathise with them or care about them for some reason. I don't know.

My guess is it's because they're much simpler to interact with, and really nothing can go wrong.
I'd say see a therapist. I'd recommend some, but you live on the other side of the fucking world.
