It isn't. Emi's reputated light-heartedness is misleading; her bad ending is [sp]unexpectedly cold[/sp] and even her otherwise heartwarming good ending is thinly laced with empathy-induced sadness.
The strongest thought the final scene in Emi's arc left me with is [sp]just how fucking easy it is to suddenly have yourself or a kin pass away, unexpectedly and undeservingly, from something as common as a car accident.[/sp]
