I realized the other day, Lilly isn't the best girl for one main reason. And it's because she is the best girl.
I know you just short-circuited there, so stay with me. What I mean is, of course she's the best girl, as her path is nearly flawless. The only real drama that goes on is at the very end, and even that wasn't very climactic as all it was was [sp]"oh shit I better go after her, damn I had a heart attack, oh but it's ok, it was a very mild heart attack and Lillys back so win-win, time to live happily ever after"[/sp]
It's downright dumb to even compare her to the others, because of course she's gonna come out on top, there's nothing wrong with her. She's the prettiest, the nicest, [sp] the most sexually active [/sp] one of the bunch, and there's pretty much no problem with her disability as she's more than fine with it and Hisao doesn't mind.

You can't accurately say that because we barely see or hear any of the other people when doing an arc that isn't about them. Honestly it makes more sense to say that their problems only come to light BECAUSE Hisao interacts with them.

Also for that post last page about the Lilly being too perfect thing, you've hit the nail on the head. The original RAITA sketch was literally a two-dimensional ara ara character, and while they tried to address it later during development (I remember reading one of the blog articles about that) there's never a time when there isn't a small shimmer of the mary-sue at her core.

There is one scene that shows her disability hindering her.
[sp]In that bit during the holiday when Hisao has a heart attack, because of her blindness she can't tell exactly what's going on and can't really do anything to help because of it. All she can do is stand there, and hope that Hisao's ok and if not, that Hanako can take care of it.[/sp]

This. In Hanako's route, you can visibly see her deterioration happen as all kinds of ridiculous stress get put on her all at once. Hisao even goes so far to mention how exhausted she looks occasionally. The only route in which Lilly turns out overworked and miserable is the one where you get with her[I] best friend[/I], which is pretty sad.
