cheeseman - let's make a VN thread, because as some people said (and also killed their own argument with p well) - everyone talks about other VNs already, so what's the difference in names? the only difference is that people are alienated from the thread if they want to talk about higurashi, or uta, or [del]yume miru kusuri[/del]. they'll be like "oh no i'll be banned for off topic or i'll get flamed out". honestly, the sedentary attitude to a more open thread is probably out of fear that the KS community here will be shattered by a sudden swarm of non-KS posts or be marginalised, when they won't.
look at the MLP threads before they moved, they had nothing to do after season 1 of the show ended, and this was less than a few weeks. and this is with something that arguably had more to talk about than KS because on top of fan art and fanfics, they had merchandise and shit to discuss (kinda lame but it's the principle), but what happened instead was the thread ground to a halt and became bronies flaming eachother incessantly + off topic posts to the max + it degraded to endless dumb meme shit. that's the future of a Katawa Shoujo V2 - the VN has been released, all the thread will become is a community circlejerk where everyone posts the 3-5 fanart pics that come out a week and post memes again and again and again until it becomes ironic, then it'll just become a bunch of internet fights about who has a better waifu (imagine the ones that are in this thread but 5x worse).
all a new thread is doing is giving people who skim over the thread names to not be driven away by the niche-ness of it all (a natively-english, 4channer-made, disabled girl VN), and assure the thread doesn't end in a lock by a mod pissed off with its bullshit (again, MLP thread).
use ure brain, vote for progression. cheeseman out.

Sorry, I use tinychat because it's more fun, like how earlier we all watched AMV Hell 3 & 4 together. Many lulz were had.
