look at the MLP threads before they moved, they had nothing to do after season 1 of the show ended, and this was less than a few weeks. and this is with something that arguably had more to talk about than KS because on top of fan art and fanfics, they had merchandise and shit to discuss (kinda lame but it's the principle), but what happened instead was the thread ground to a halt and became bronies flaming eachother incessantly + off topic posts to the max + it degraded to endless dumb meme shit. that's the future of a Katawa Shoujo V2 - the VN has been released, all the thread will become is a community circlejerk where everyone posts the 3-5 fanart pics that come out a week and post memes again and again and again until it becomes ironic, then it'll just become a bunch of internet fights about who has a better waifu (imagine the ones that are in this thread but 5x worse).
all a new thread is doing is giving people who skim over the thread names to not be driven away by the niche-ness of it all (a natively-english, 4channer-made, disabled girl VN), and assure the thread doesn't end in a lock by a mod pissed off with its bullshit (again, MLP thread).

I'm perfectly cap'es of using proper capitalisation and all that but I prefer taking a more informal approach when posting, because typing everything in perfect grammar when making a larger post makes me seem like I'm trying to be a snooty sonovabitch or at least a bit stuffy. Plus I like the more jubilant tone it conveys so w/e.

Why would you compare KS to MLP? They're like 2 different things. I don't know what went on with the MLP thread, but AFAIK, people watched and discussed about MLP as a joke. That's not the same as KS.
And the only shit that happened to this thread really was the dumb Hanako rape thing and this discussion about a VN megathread.

I think comparing KS to other VNs in the vein of saying the GTAs are in one megathread is invalid, as KS is not part of any VN series, and people don't go there to discuss different crime sandboxes, they go there to discuss stuff they're familiar with. Shelving KS under the VN megathread will also hide the game from the majority of people under the niche genre. Compare the RTS genre, we don't have a megathread on that with the Starcraft thread in it, the game is popular enough to warrant a seperate thread.
That being said discussion on the other VNs make it seem a general VN thread would be good as well, as a seperate thread.

Except the KS thread is going to degenerate into bullshit within three months tops. It'll just be fucking was hanako raped shit every day. Do you seriously think people can continue inventing things to talk about after a certain time? And that's the operative word, because at the second or third incarnation of this thread the discussions will not be natural, they'll be engineer by people desperate to continue talking about the game that's been run dry of things to talk about. In a big video game sure, there's a lot of stuff to talk about, tons of variables, but in a smaller VN with six paths including Kenji, where everyone has read all the text in the game in about a week, you will end up making fanfics, and fanfics, and fanfics, and arguments, and arguments, and arguments, and fanart, and fanart, and fanart, until it's all become a dumb self parody. I don't see how anyone is able to believe that a standalone KS thread will end well. Even fucking now this thread's degenerated into arguments and it's less than a month old so deep in your heart you know this is right.
