Katawa Shoujo - "Disabled girls? Noooo...wait, really?" - Games

The fact that 90% of the Visual Novel fan community on this forum comes from KS means that a megathread won't start off with new people, instead it'll probably be KS discussion for a while with smaller patches of discussion of other novels, then as the KS discussion runs dry people will slowly evolve into other novels to talk about, whereas if it were a KS thread alone where "you can talk about other novels if you want to" it'll just be a mess.

The problem is that you "have to strike the iron while it's hot". I want to make the Megathread now because katawa shoujo raised the interest of people into the visual novel genre. Yet it seems that people can only witness Katawa Shoujo as a good visual novel, and disregard the rest as generic japanese shit.

That's a bit like saying what's the point of all the 8 hour SP FPSes out there when we can have a megathread to stop their threads from dying off? They only have a linear way of progression, discussion will run dry in weeks/months so why have em?

Can we get back on topic? Take this to mass debate or fast threads or something, this is the last place it belongs in right now.

I wonder if the last post in this thread before it locks will be People still discussing wether to make a V2 thread, or a VN megathread... that'd be funny.

I like Starcraft and I don't really care about any other RTS game. Is that wrong?

How many literature threads have you seen that have survived? That's not the greatest example but even with SP FPSes (there aren't any these days because there is multi so the point is kinda moot as it is, but I'll roll with it) you have way more to talk about in the gameplay, guns, how to beat levels, peoples' funny videos in the game, pictures, bugs, cheats, and this isn't touching the multiplayer content which will have FP clans, duels, screenshots, videos, everything. The only games that are single player only are stuff like RPGs and Mass Effect which'll have no shortage of stuff to talk about at all.
