I'm 3 hours into the thing and I'm loving the story, really well written etc... However, what the fuck do you mean "arcs" ? All I'm doing is following the storyline. I've had to make like... 3 choices or 4 so far.

There are 5 girls, each with 4 acts go to through.
So there's not 'a' storyline, there's 5. And then those split into bad ends and a good end.

It'll split off sooner or later onto one of the girls' arcs. After which you'll get either her good or bad end.

I'm somewhere on Emi's path, forgot which act. This game really is an emotional rollercoaster. An hour ago I reached some nice scenes and I imagined the game continuing in that direction towards a cute cliché ending, but just as quickly as the story got in high spirits it now declined into a heartbreaking state. I wonder for how long? This game has surpassed my expectations greatly so far.
Are all the characters this fucking complicating and fustrating? I've done Rin and Hanako so far and I feel like all I ever do is get confused and go in big circles over and over again while they do logic breaking shit that manic crazy people often do.
Is Shizunes route less fustrating?

I imagine the depression comes from getting to see how things truly are for whoever you befriend.
For example, [sp]Hanako's problems go further than just her appearance and past. As she was parentless at the age of 8 after the fire that claimed her parents lives, she was put in an orphanage for a long time and endured some bullying, which pretty much shattered a lot of her self confidence and thanks to her scars, was a bit repulsive to the other kids, causing her to slowly seclude herself from others for the sake of not being treated like a freak. Before she left the orphanage, she was one of the older ones there, meaning no family wanted her, so she thought that by going to Yamaku High School, she'd learn independence and living on her own. Until Lilly showed up, she was pretty much alone, so their friendship is heartwarming. Finally, if I remember correctly, they became friends partly because Hanako wouldn't need to fear being commented on her appearance due to Lilly being blind.[/sp]

Got over the whole [sp]anal amputee[/sp] thing and finished Emi's path.
It wasn't as bad as people make it out, might try other paths. I expected it to be a totally fucked game about screwing cripple girls, but I was wrong, to an extent.
