Why yes, making you feel horrible is one of the distinguishing features of this game indeed! However that's a compliment if anything; when a game about putting emotional spin and perspective on crippling disabilities and mental trauma succeeds in moving you that's definitely a success right there. At least that's the image I'm painting up while hoping the devs wasn't trying to create fetish food. :v:
Though I agree the emotional impact may hurt the experience in the sense that it's hard to pick the game up again after completing an arc, or a particularly emotional act, even.

Wow, I hate anime, i hate dating games but due to the buzz i thought i would give this a try and i just stopped playing for 6 hours straight, the story is really good.

I'm pretty sure that the writers and character designers and stuff put quite some time into the game just so you would feel that.

Apparently a lot of people skip his scenes, which is a shame since some of them are pretty funny and/or bromantic
Lilly'd be a pain, Shizune would be an insanely bigger pain. Emi would be too much to keep up with. Hanako and Rin would be impossible to crack and interact with.
