Talk about balanced, just joined a Conquest game on Seine Crossing. Checked who was on the other team 8 level 80's in a clan together (Split in two squads) along with 4 other randoms. 9 people on my team who were all under level 20. We had no chance, the round only lasted 5 minutes.

This one looks like a photograph.
I hate it when I gun in a helicopter and the pilot just goes GOTTA GO HIGH AND USE THEM HEATSEEKERS TO TAKE DOWN JETS
THATS NOT HOW HELICOPTERS WORK DAMNIT
Goddamit, either I wait an undefined set of time for a friend of mine to reset the keys in a limited edition at the store he's in, or I go out to find another copy...
What do...

It's easier to take out tanks with the rocket pods from miles away than take out jets with heatseekers.
The reason the arm rig from co-op isn't online is because they have different directories. If you notice, when you play the Single-Player gun updates don't apply(Animation fixes, position placement).
I think they should add some level of customization to the soldiers. Changing the skin colour of the different classes would be enough.
We already have camouflage, so why not?

I don't think skin colour matters much.
I wonder if they really thought that a black assault fits better in the game or did they just make him black so they wouldn't seem racist?

Cool.. but obviously you didn't have to steer the TV missile much but still that's awesome
I've only took down viper/havoc like once from air with tv
God I'm so fucking tired of dogfights
It's all about flying in circles until maybe someone hits the ground
I just went through a full fucking minute of spinning then I just jumped out on a control point
I really want to get BF3 but I'm afraid it'll be like most MP centric games I get and I'll play for a few hours and then stop coming back. Is the SP + the proposition of maybe some MP worth 50 USD?
yes.
Okay, somehow I managed to prevent the screen lockup crashes by changing things in the bios I think. But now, after several hours of gameplay, I get a long error, basically saying that the "hardware was removed. This usually means the driver crashed". I'm honestly okay with this, because at least now I'm getting a real error, and I can play for several hours uninterrupted.

Oh dear, it appears my head has spontaneously exploded. Well isn't this quite the pickle.
I haven't played BF3 in ages. I think I should go back to it now.
Two questions, however.
What happened to the FP Europe servers?
Should I buy Back to Karkand?

You should probably see if you can get back into the game before buying dlc

Judging by your steam account you have never really played a Battlefield game, so yes it is worth it.

He could have, Battlefield isn't just Steamworks.
He could have, Battlefield isn't just Steamworks.
He could have but it is unlikely because he has alot of games on Steam and is likely to be centric to that specific digital distribution platform. Judging by his taste in MP games on his account he has only played corridor shooters MP-wise, RO as the exception.
Yeah, DoD:S and RO were my main MP shooters back when I was in high school. I probably have 300 hours in DoD:S at least and 100 in RO.
I mean, I love the idea of wide open areas but I think I'm usually put off by the players who are already really good. I feel like if I don't start when the game is released I'm already behind, especially in a game with unlocks.

Unlocks won't give you a advantage in BF.
If you have a nice mouse and keyboard, you're good to go. I actually used the default weapons up until I had most of them unlocked anyways.

You can't change the skin color because black or hispanic soldiers in the Russian army are unrealistic.

Your logic is flawed, not only was Battlefield 1942 released before Steam (which, if I recall correctly didn't even have non-valve games at the time), but only 2 of the 10 (?) Battlefield titles were released on steam, only one of which at release (BC2). Point being, it's plausible that they could have been a fan of the Battlefield series before steam was even important to them, and thus would have purchased them elsewhere (or before they were available on steam). Or, perhaps even they like having cases, and thus bought them in a store.
Although, you do have a good point with regards to corridor shooters.

Aside from vehicles (mostly aircraft), unlocks are different rather than better; there's no all around best gun for everything. That said, there are people who have been playing since release and are good, but Battlefield is generally easy to pick up and play (there's a learning curve, but it's not huge) so it shouldn't be all that hard to get into.
If you're having problems, you can always join a squad and follow them around (provided they aren't horrid) to have a better chance of surviving, and perhaps even learn from them.

Then disable the option if your on the Russian team?

I don't care if my logic is flawed. I was right.
Just went 54-6, Tunguska is a little overpowered
The Mobile AA is even good against tanks.

Congrats.
Just went 54-6, Tunguska is a little overpowered
It partly depends on the map. That one map on Rush is just horrid.
The Mobile AA is even good against tanks.
Not really, I always get two hit killed by tanks in mobile AA.
Most of the time I see them first, get cover between me and them and then get behind them, one burst of the main gun on the back of a tank disables it and sets it on fire.
But yes, face-to-face the Tank wins.
Just re-read this when I saw the funnies, is there innuendo?

The TV missile is one of my favorite unlocks.
Empty your main gun, switch to TV missile and blow up the enemy. :v:
Anyone from Europe who wants to team up and get some chopper kills with me? I need like 30 k for TV missile..
