The american assault dude has always been black.
In the retail game. In the alpha and beta, the US assault was a white guy.
The American assault still has white arms in first person. Half-assed job. Probably the result of bitching and whining on Battlelog. They asked why there were no female soldiers as well. Like, really?
ye and good luck trying to get DICE to do anything about it, the only changes in game are based on changing a few variables to "balance" weapons. We still have broken bipods, for example.
Looks like frostbite is a really huge bitch to edit - I mean, not only its amazing technologies are crap (No realtime radiosity, and destruction is based on having two models inside eachother - look at buildings fro ma long distance, you can see this happening). Lots of stuff look cool but unnatural, like trees and bushes. Maps based on looks and details instead of balance (I mean, compare their stuff to Valve and TF2, especially Badlands. Valve mappers first make a general layout of the map using simple brushes, then base their theme around a playtested-to-hell base). Also lack of modding really hurts - you can't even make a simple racing map to race with your friends, and such a simple silly thing would extend bf3's lifetime by a few valuable hours.
Also there are more bugs in this game - russian gloves clipping with your hand, bullet-models instead of being offscreen is right behind your weapon butt, delayed destruction (fire a rocket, destruction happens a few seconds later), blue fences violently explode into orange bits, EOD BOT CONTROLLING OH GOD etc
i can see BF3 being close to empty before end of this year
Finally finished all the assignments, fuck squad deathmatch seriously.

Want realtime destruction? Server prices go up %500.

And he sounds nothing like a black person.
Lol, why was I rated dumb? I'm not in disbelief of what you guys are saying, I'm just pointing out what could be a bug on my end. :v:
Unlocks won't give you a advantage in BF.
If you have a nice mouse and keyboard, you're good to go. I actually used the default weapons up until I had most of them unlocked anyways.
I'm a colonel and I'm still using the M16A3 / AK74M, both with foregrip but nothing else.
I really want to get BF3 but I'm afraid it'll be like most MP centric games I get and I'll play for a few hours and then stop coming back. Is the SP + the proposition of maybe some MP worth 50 USD?
IMO god no. Think about the two games, CoD and BF, back in the old days. BF didnt have SP, they focused on MP and they did it very well. CoD didnt have MP, but their SP was very good. Now they've started to try cross into each others territory, and its bad. CoD pulled off a decent MP with MW. But from there on its been awful.
BF3 campaign is a boring string of scripted events.. the game plays for you "pick up this gun, shoot here, stand here and kill, move to here".. and if you dont follow those orders, you die.
tl;dr IMO CoD is SP, BF3 is MP, dont bother with SP in BF3, or MP in CoD.
I found a site that is offering bf3 for $37.
I googled the site and most of the responses are that it's a legit site.
Anyone know anything about ultimatum gamekeys site?

The game emptying because of GRAPHICAL issues?
Hahaha no.

Nobody give a shit about bushes when being shot at.

also last time i checked, bf3 is a revolution in terms of graphics
o and dice cares a lot about their community

game is still kind of fresh, but last word was 3+ weeks ago, and the only changes were purely based on dmg values
o yeah and more than 50percent of map+gamemode combinations are just terrible
oh and dont even start talking about netcode
pls call me later when dice shows their customers that they actually care about them
sometimes the people in this game are just so mind blowingly stupid
not even in terms of being bad at the game, i don't give a shit if someone is bad at a video game, but this is simply people not understanding basic principles and it makes me worry about how they manage to get through life with their intelligence. for instance: we were getting destroyed like 100 tickets to 450 and we have an entire base filled with vehicles that no one even thinks about using

This
I honestly haven't noticed a single one of the things he pointed out..
Mind, I do run it on low graphics settings to get maximum FPS so idk, I guess looks just arent all that important to me
Still having problems binding my joystick. When I go to bind an axis or button in the joystick column it instantly binds the Z-axis, and the fact that you have to select it and hold esc means I can't unbind it afterward either. The fuck.
Best ever rush game i've had.

I am so pissed off at this game right now. Why bother making a game where auto-balance doesn't exist. WHY. Round after round my team kept getting slaughtered and there was literally nothing we could do about it, most of the other team were about level 50, we were mostly below 30.
the joystick controls in this game are so delayed and horribly bound and rebinding them is broken as fuck. in BF2 using a joystick most of the time for flying made you a better pilot than people without, in BF3 it's no question that mouse + keyboard > joystick
I am the only one who thinks the singleplayer maps are way more interesting than the multiplayer maps? Just the theme. Why not have a more realistic feeling urban map like operation swordbreaker/uprising or night shift, also operation guillotine and its opening sequence.

Overall you seem like one of the many retards I have to deal with in bf3, but you do present something that bothers me.
The fact that they had this amazing destruction system that was sex on the eyes AND effected gameply, only for it to crash and burn in beta. The final product did not have the amazing destruction and to be honest the destruction that I loved in the previous series isn't really present at all in gameplay or on the scale they promised.
I would understand if they were trying to actively fix it and put it back in but there hasn't been any word about it. It seems like they gave up on it and it was one of the their biggest features one of the biggest things I was looking forward to.
Imagine creating trenches with c4 to hold off a point and dropping to prone as a tank rumbles over your trench trying to crush you and your comrades.
Imagine instead of having full buildings collapse, you could make individual sections do just that. You could clog a doorway or booby trap a room or creature cover.
Imagine if EVERY building could be collapsed, you could block streets or areas with rubble to force vehicles to take longer routes. Imagine a gamemode where one side is pure infantry working to destroy these buildings to stop the enemy vehicles from approaching! Imagine a tower defense game mode where infantry are in a tall base and have to defend from attacking choppers or tanks?
IMAGINE. THE. POSSIBILITIES.
But alas, no.
Dice has expressed no interest in fixing the amazing destruction design they had.

Someone posted a pic of a helicopter taking down a light post a few months ago.
I'm still hoping that Destruction 3.0 is coming with the next patch.

I'd like to see more maps in Paris or more city maps in general.
Yeah, that was one thing that pissed me off, the destruction is pretty non-existent, other than building faces and cover.
B2K maps seem pretty destructible though.
Just being vaguely optimistic...
I had a dream that I had BF3 and was playing it, the dream felt so real...

Still hoping and wishing they finally make a New York map.
Ah, maybe one day...
Just got my CITV station for the tank this weekend.
Here's how i use it with a friend:
Main gunner (Usualy me) shoots at whatever that needs to die.
(reactive armor, smoke, guided shell)
gunner seat (Friend) uses the turret to shoot down enemy infantry, also he got the repair duty.
when he see a chopper or jet, he switches to CITV station and locks a target for me.
I use guided shell and one shots basicly anything.
The beauty about it, is that you can't hear the guided shell has been fired, like anything else.
All the enemy is hearing or see's is that they have been locked on, but no one has fired anything.
We managed to hold the line in Operation Firestorm, just me and him against 16 other guys.
CITV station is a terrible idea for an unlock.
Turn a tank into a one-hit KO AA vehicle, really smart.
