The admin team kills me, I type !punish, and I get kicked for being disrespectful.
Would it be worth it to switch over to my gamepad for flight, then back for everything else?
Attack helicopters are the worst, you can camp the US carrier on kharg while staying out of the AA's range, while your squadmates jump out and nab the enemy air vehicles. I swear people use them 3/4 of the time just to hover above the deployment and blow things up.

I saw someone doing that yesterday and killing anyone who spawned in the jets, so I spawned in a jet, jumped out quick and when it tried to fly off I shot it with my SMAW. He then came back in a jet which I also managed to shoot down with my SMAW, while he was trying to land. :v:

I just tried it and wow is it awkward.
I can't even fire my machine gun because it brings up the spot menu.
Also, I crashed because windows wanted to change my aero settings. GEE, THANKS WINDOWS.
Would anyone be interested in watching some drunk guys play BF3?

also, dat feel when you play a 2 hour game on metro, get 24k points with just a shotgun, unlock EVERYTHING for it, and then the server crashes.
I don't like the jet's too much, I think I'll just stick with infantry.
Unlocked the USAS-12 shotgun and just got frag rounds, hilariously fun to spam it at people.
Unlocked the Jet Service Star. Pretty pumped, it took me 1hr in jets to get flares.

For example, if I just did a pass of the MCOM stations in Caspian and I start getting locked, I know there are no choppers doing that - it must be someone on the ground. I keep my heading (away from the action), and if they fire, I pull a sharp 180 and fly towards the objectives at full throttle, keeping my eye on the missile in the distance, and making sure that I'll pass below or over it. Hey presto - missile evaded.
If I'm hit, extinguishers and hide out at the fringes of the map/high altitude until I regain control and health.[/QUOTE]

IMO Russian weapons are good without optics and heavy barrel. I don't see the difference with heavy barrel anyways, it even feels that the bullet spread increases with it.

Finally, after 3 months of customer support hell, I finally have a key for Battlefield 3.
Played through the single player campaign on hard all night long ;)
Expect a snoozefest later on.
I'm only on the second mission on the Campaign. I don't think I'm going to finish it anytime soon because I'm already bored of it.

Aim around while it's in flight and it'll redirect to where your crosshairs now are.
Always seemed like a waste to me, canister shell or HMG/LMG are better in my opinion, but to be honest i ain't played in about a week and even then I normally just kept shit simple in the tank with reactive armor and shit and blitz'd the enemy without regard to secondary weapon unless there was a lot of infantry.

You can't spot with a gamepad so I'm forced to fly with my mouse which is awful

That isn't how the guided missile works. You're thinking of the TOW missiles.

Do guided missiles only work on targets that have been lased then?

It's the same with guided missiles.
Aim directly at the tank, the laser says "fuck yourself" and aims at the tank 3 meters to the right, then right before it locks on it switches to my target I was aiming on since the start, then switches back again to the other tank over and over again.

Guided missiles lock on to stuff and hit it without you needing to do anything.
