What cheap graphics card is able to run BF3 smoothly? :o
Probably none
What cheap graphics card is able to run BF3 smoothly? :o
what is considered cheap
He could get a 6870, it can run BF3 smoothly at Ultra, then he could get a Phenom II X4 or something for those large 64 player servers.
What cheap graphics card is able to run BF3 smoothly? :o
my Radeon HD 5770 runs it smootly on Ultra settings (sans antialiasing) and I've seen them go for less than $100 (though $120 seems to be the average)
my Radeon HD 5770 runs it smootly on Ultra settings (sans antialiasing) and I've seen them for as low as $100
Don't recommend a 5x series card. The 6870 is the minimum standard for today.
What cheap graphics card is able to run BF3 smoothly? :o
my 5750 runs everything at 60+ fps on everything medium/high!
Heh. Playing metro on 64 players. I have no idea what is going on, but I got like 10 resupply pins
Honestly never even thought "damn that explosion was loud", let alone "MY EAAAARRRSSS"
I have Astro A40's and the game sounds amazing. :v: (When playing on both PC and Xbox I have both)
How the hell, is your cpu godly or something?
Low res probably.
Don't recommend a 5x series card. The 6870 is the minimum standard for today.
What? The 5870 is better than the 6870! (In most cases)
It's so much fun getting kicked and being called a hacker for dodging incoming anti air rockets with my precious jets . Well the getting kicked aspect is more annoying than satisfying but still.
What? The 5870 is better than the 6870! (In most cases)
5870 is also more expensive and isn't sold anymore so you're going to be buying used and out of warranty.
Just had an awesome round of rush, or well, atleast the ending was. I spawned in a tank with my squadmember and we killed loadsaenemies at their MCOM stations. Then the rest of the team arrived, they put in a bot and armed the last one, I blew a hole in the wall and shot everything that moved inside, then it took loads of damage and was going to get disabled. I drove it infront of the MCOM and slaughtered everyone getting near
More importantly, the 6770 is a rebranded 5770.
More importantly, the 6770 is a rebranded 5770.
Not entirely true.
It's close enough. The point is that saying you shouldn't recommend the 5770 because it isn't a 6 series card doesn't make very much sense seeing as that would imply recommending the identically performing 6770 would be acceptable.

I have that card, phenom II X4 cpu and it's not playable well enough on ultra.
i've got a 6950HD MSI, runs BF3 everything on high, around 70 fps.
I have a GTX 260. Game runs like shit. Still looks decent though.
I have a GTX 260. Game runs like shit. Still looks decent though.
I have one too, but at least the beta ran fine. What settings you using?
Can I have that Steam fix again?
Smoothly can be anything from 30 to 120 fps. He didn't specify resolution, other hardware, desired settings or budget. There are going to be a decent number of cases where cards below the 6870 are a very good decision.
I'm running 2 Velociraptor 600GB HLHX's in RAID0, a single 6870, 16GB of DDR3 and a Phenom X4 960T. I prefer Ultra.
I have one too, but at least the beta ran fine. What settings you using?
As low as I can push it
Has anyone with a 770 tried to disable dx11 to see if the fps increased?
Has anyone with a 770 tried to disable dx11 to see if the fps increased?
I dont think you can disable it, otherwise there would be a menu option.
