Back a page, buddy
i guess you just missed the part where I said "didn't see it on the last page but regardless"
I preordered this and never ended up playing it for some reason. Now that I try, I can't play more than a few minutes without it freezing. :(
Most Awkward: You bail out of your burning jet and land in the ocean. You accidentally land next to a swimming enemy, and now the two* of you are racing to shore so you can shoot each other. The whole time, you're just kind of looking at each other.
I did this the other day except instead of swimming to shore we just kind of floated there and then spun in circles.
I did very good today

SV-98 iron sights is great, especially if you have a great squad.
My god, I fucking hate c4. I was just killed about 17 times by some asshole who found me and covered my tank in the shit.
You'd love me then. I think by this point I'm mostly C4, or at least, the human embodiment of C4's want to blow things up.
Okay, quick question: How much larger are the maps on PC vs Consoles?
Okay, quick question: How much larger are the maps on PC vs Consoles?
64 players
The physical maps are the same but with 64 player CQ (PC only) it has flags spread throughout more of the map while 24 player CQ (360 & PS3) has usually 3-4 with the outskirts of some maps being unused.

You must have edited that in after my reply because I didn't see it.
Got kicked from a server after screaming "GOD FUCKING DAMMIT" after some guy in a jet disabled my LAV in the middle of the ocean on Kharg.
I'll probably finally get around to buying this tomorrow, really looks like my kind of game. Here's hoping I won't be at that much of a disadvantage for turning up late.
Will Origin be anything for me to worry about?

Unless you are a technically incompetent, over-reacting Steam fanboy? Not particularly. It causes very few issues for the majority of users, with the odd exception here and there like any program will.

I miss my M1A1 Thompson and my Neostead 2000.
But I miss my Garand the most, I hope they show up in the next expansion.
lol metro

Finally unlocked the MAV for Recon. Was playing earlier today on Caspian Border Rush. My team was defending and I saw the attackers' helicopter flying above. I flew the MAV up and rammed the cockpit, causing the helicopter to explode and kill all three people inside.
I was called a faggot many times that round.

It's okay, we're Facepunchers. We can get along, bro.
Also, I need help with some settings. I have an i5 2500 3.3ghz with 560ti and 4gb RAM. I DID have everything on Ultra, except Textures and mesh (set to high), 16XAF 0XAA and SSAO. I varied about 40-45 minimum at 1680x1050 but would get anywhere between that and 80-90 depending on areas. The problem with this is over time i'll get random stutter (red number in corner for my FPS).
Now I changed all my settings to HIGH and my framerate just seems steady at 60fps+. Even in intense places i'd usually get 45fps. Would anyone know if an increase to 8gb RAM would help the stutter even slightly using some Ultra settings?
Which Ultra settings are demanding, which should I turn up?
Thoughts on the MP7? I just got the red dot for it, seems fine except for the low ammo count.
Slay everything with Support where the ammo is no longer an issue
Rumor inbound.

Obviously not saying it's true, but still interesting if it might be. Could this be what's coming on 2.15.2012?
didn't see it on the last page but regardless
That would be amazing! If it's going to be about urban warfare, I hope they can include air vehicles, along with ground.

I don't want another Operation Metro.
I always love driving around in this game with a jeep, don't care much for shooting them. I once drove right between a tank and an APC (I think?) on Caspian Border - was amazing.
I honestly can't believe people are still riding the origin hate train to be honest.
It's not even that bad, maybe a bit unnecessary but, it starts up quicker than steam, launches battlefield quicker than steam (with bc2)... and it does it all automatically if I just go to battlelog in my browser without being intrusive
So I bought BF3 today, a used version. Thinking it was the same exact thing as a new BF3, I was happy that I saved 15 bucks and bought myself Halo 3 with it. Unfournately, when I tried to play online, it told me I needed an online pass. I have to pay 10 more dollars to this greedy fucking company to play ONLINE, the best feature of a FPS? I looked it up, and one of the developers of the game said that "servers cost money to run, you dont get money from used copies." , okay DICE/EA/whoever the fuck made this game, fuck you. Next thing you know, I'll have to pay 10 dollars an hour just to have the game put in my xbox 360.

It would be cool if on the New York City map you could down into the subway system but only if it was a small part of the map, not the entire fucking thing. I do agree all out warfare in some city maps would be awesome; I can already see jets weaving between buildings in a NYC map.
I wonder if they would make working trams if they did a San Francisco map.
Regardless, any maps they make better at least be the size of BTK maps.

What's your problem, you saved a total of $5 anyway. And you know what, they are right, they wouldn't get a thing from any used copies but it still costs them money from you playing on the servers. It's not like they charge you again if you bought a new copy.

It's annoying but they don't get any money from a used game sale.

Holy fuck you can do this?
Also what the fuck is with Operation Metro's little burning rubble? I've walked between the fucking flames with 100% health, but sometimes I get "Bad Luck". Does that happen in the PC version? I play on the PS3 because all my friends are retarded/didn't have good enough specs.

on one of the karkand maps I got "bad luck" killed by stepping on some physics object on the ground causing it to jolt into me. a cinderblock or something. some total skyrim bullshit right there.
Crash into enemy attack helicopter with jet = bad luck/2 suicides
Enemy jet crashes into your attack helicopter = double kill/you killed yourself/his jet is still alive
Does anyone have an tweaking guides for FXAA?
Mmm, mmm. Those rumors.
