I really hope we briefly see Adrian Shepard again.
Such an awesome way to mindfuck everyone.

He might just be hinting. Let's all head to Valve with pitchforks and torches and signs and all that malarkey. They'll have to release Episode 3.
So...
Any pilots around? I'd like to snag a lift to Seattle.

I initially somehow thought that's where they were, but I got a search result liking Valve to this: PO Box 1688, Bellevue, WA 98009-1688

Bellevue is a suburb of Seattle iirc.

It's like 20 mins away according to Google Maps
The address I got on my package from Valve says
10900 NE 4th street, Suite 500
Bellevue, WA 98004
IT MUST BE THE SECRET MEETING CLUB
Google Maps says its the Skyline Tower Fitness Center.... what
Gabe's office is in the exercise room!
Highly doubtful.

Why? No one would ever expect.

0_0 Gabe Newell is working off the "wait" for HL2 E:3
0_0 Gabe Newell is working off the "wait" for HL2 E:3
Good joke, bad execution.

He got a gym membership with all the money from Robins hats. He's spending his time idle in cp_gym. The capture point is on a treadmill and he's a heavy. So I doubt he wants to train the wait away since he always gets killed by the train.
I'm pretty sure that they can use such a technology for the chopper scene to render huge landscapes? If there is such a scene and still stick to the idea that you will make your way to borealis with the chopper...
They could also do it like in Eternal Silence- with a scaled down environment (3d skybox) and chopper so that there can be a seemingly bigger map to fly around in.
The wait killed me a year ago.
Now it brought me back and murdered me again.

No way.

Now why wouldn't Valve have their own gym. I mean, come on, if they have such a huge snack bar, why wouldn't they have the opposite? Also, just because you have exercise equipment, does not mean you actually use it all the time.

Hey remember in the Citadel, you still have to go through a loading screen before completing the ride? You don't think that the next HL game, they want to make the next game's loading time seamless as possible, like during the chopper flight/fight?

I know this is fairly old but it's still completely awesome.
Meh, this is just stupid... We still don't know anything about EP3.
And Gabe/valve just keeps doing these kind of things to keep the fans from raiding the valve HQ. :V

I hope that information is kept secret until the most random possible moment in an event. Like, a trailer for EP3 shown to be interrupting some other game company's presentation on something :v:

Hello, we are now playing MW3 and UNEXPECTED CROSSOVER GO
Hello, we are now playing MW3 and UNEXPECTED CROSSOVER GO
Bar level where you see Barney buying some a beer.
Here's what I see in the game:
Alyx and Gordon are flying over the snowy tundra, heading on the right track to the Borealis. Suddenly, their helicopter gets shot down by a new combine device, and they go down.
When Gordon and Alyx come to, DOG is broken and busted. Alyx sobs for a moment, then decides that she is going to fix it, telling Gordon once again, "I'll stay here and take care of DOG, while you go find out what shot us down."
On your way to the Borealis, you encounter a new combine enemy, a snow snake. Kind of like Lost Planet, this thing is made out of white metal, with laser-guided missiles. You defeat it, but it lands on you, knocking you unconsious.
When you come to, you find yourself being dragged through a make-shift camp in the snow. they lock you in a jail, soon following Alyx. She said she was mid-way fixing DOG when a combine sentry knocked her out. Suddenly, she pulled out her unlocker thingy, she uses the laser to cut the metal. Once you're free of the cell, she hands you a new weapon, a metal pipe broken off from the toilet. This shall be your new crowbar for the time being.
You fight through hordes of combine, surprised at how badly they want you to stay here. You break out, and head south towards the Borealis.
Once you arrive at the ship, Alyx marvels at the sight. Once you get inside, there are boxes of whatever (I have no imagination for the Borealis contents, so bear with me). Alyx hands you the makeshift charges that Kleiner gave her before they departed. You plant the charges, and get out of the ship. Soon, you find yourself staring at five dozen combine, with a grin-wearing breen standing in front of you.
He tells you that you almost killed him, before combine sentries found him and carried him away, healing most of his fractured/dismembered body. He lifts his sleeve and two pant legs to reveal a robotic appendage now replaces his flesh and bone.
Alyx and gordon struggle as they are hed captive once again by the combine, forced to watch as the combine defuse the charges and carry out the crates. Suddenly, a half-rebuilt DOG comes to the rescue and barrels down the combine, showing impressive stuff as he kills everybody. He then lands on top of Breen, and hesitates to kill him as he begs for his life. Suddenly, Breen pulls out a gun and starts firing into DOG's head, cutting off it's circuitry etc.
Alyx goes into a slow-motion cutscene, taking Gordon's crowbar and whacking Breen in the head so hard, it almost seemed like it was gonna fly off.
Soon alyx cries and starts frantically trying to rebuild DOG, bu it was no use. She gathers up most of dog and put inside a Combine backpack, not before taking a coat as well. So now, you both get to see a sexy Alyx in an eskimo suit, and a naked combine.
I'm a bit too tired to finish the rest, I was just writing down what I was thinking.
Oh, a while later she shall rebuild DOG in a smaller "puppy" form, starting from scratch once again.
i never asked for this
i never asked for this
Nobody asked for this. Also the Deus Ex jokes are getting stale at this point.
I kind of like the idea of building D0g back from scratch as a puppy, there's something nice about it!
If protesters showed up outside Activision demanding an end to map packs they would probably use live rounds on them. EA would have to intervene and implement a no talent zone
CS:GO made me lose faith in the Source engine.

Care to explain why?
