Sounds reasonable, seeing as we are getting DOTA 2 and CS:GO next year.

Episode 3 is the most disappointing game for me. They have been making us all wait an extremely long time. And for what? Episodes are supposed to be short continuations of a story, not full games. So imo, Episode 3 has been tossed long ago in favor of Half Life 3. It's been way too long for an episodic release. Not to mention at this point no body knows how much of Portal is meeting with Half Life.
We all know the two science departments are rivals. This is obvious. But has valve been waiting for Portal 2 before they finish the Half Life 2 episodes? Or is it the beginning of a tie in series of games where portal tech is introduced into the Half Life universe.
Personally, I think the most of Portal that will be added to Half Life is the Borealis. I can't picture Gordon using a Portal Gun no matter how awesome that would be. I don't see it fitting with the story. And no matter what, there is no reason what so ever to not confirm the development of valves most anticipated game. Team Fortress and Portal are far more successful than Half Life is right now because as far as anyone knows the series is dead. At least until proven otherwise.

just because its an episode doesnt mean it wont be long. and half life is WAY TOO DARK to be having a major crossover with portal, they are in the same universe, but will never merge TOO close together, the most we will probably see of Aperture in Half-Life is The Borealis. and i can ALMOST confirm the borealis will have the same environment as aperture labs, it will probably be dark like the rest of half life.
And just because aperture is in Half Life does NOT mean Gordon will ever cannonically use the Portal Gun
i say Cannonically because there is a mod somewhere where you can add the portal gun to HL2 and its episodes for fun.

I really hope something Episode 3-ish does eventually come out, presumably if Half-Life 3 came out it wouldn't be set straight after Episode 2. I just want [b]anything[/b] that continues on the plot directly after Episode 2, give me a novel or a comic, just anything! Then my mind can finally be put to rest on the issue!
