Yes. Ironically, both the original and sequel to Half Life 2 were delayed a year; albeit the first delay was intentionally done by Valve.
November 11 2004. The date it was released in Denmark. I remember that day clearly.
I think we can be fairly faithful that Valve will announce EP3 after DOTA 2 and CS:GO are both released.

If they released Episode 3, then Half Life 3 not long afterwards, I'd love for Gordon to get captured at the end of ep 3. That way Half Life 3 could begin with a daring prison escape. Just a thought though. I know there was a big part in Half Life 2 with the prison.

Duke Nukem? Really? The game needs to be in development for at least 15 years, that you can use comparisons with it.
At least, Valve isn't insolvent and there are smart people working on it.
Don't you want a bugfree game, and a well optimized game, rather than a rushed?
