I really want to see the tentacle in Ep3. It really freaked me out in HL1, would be epic to see it again.
Houndeyes and bullsquids need to show up too, I really wanna see how Valve would make them look in the Source engine.
Are Valve still planning for Chell to meet up with the resistance? I remember them saying they wanted to seperate the Half-life and Portal universes, but I remember Cave Johnson mentioning Black Mesa in Portal 2, so I guess they are still in the same universe.
Maybe she could bring the portal gun with her. :D
It would be really cool if EP3 featured both Chell and Gordon as playable characters, with every other chapter making the player play as Chell, and Gordon in the others. Gordon's levels are more about combat with the Combine, and Chell's are more about solving puzzles with the portal gun.

I'd love to see a new Death-Match game with Episode 3's assets. Also some of the locations from the early development of Half-Life 2, especially that combine structure in the middle of giant wastelands. You know, the ones with the train tracks that go on for miles into the distance?

What if a recording was left behind of Eli confessing that it was he who took on g man's offer to test the sample and he had no idea it would come to this, and whatever end he came to he probably deserved it. And then he signed off with a final apology to the human race and a goodbye to alyx.
Would be a good dramatic scene mid-way.

I could see Eli leaving a pre-recorded message made after Alyx gives him the message from the G-Man actually working quite well. It could fill in the blanks about why you need to destroy the ship and what he knows about the G-Man.
I know I'm late, but I'm expecting Episode 3 to come out on a similar kind of timescale that TF2 did.
Just wait till 2019.

Personally, if I was going to fap off at a screen, it would be at Kettle Chips.
What gets me is it almost seems like the Combine had the Headcrab Union in their control, only considering when they used to drop the Headcrab canisters. I feel like that was never explained, an Advisor controlling those guys seems to make more sense. I mean, how do they live in those damn boring canisters anyway? I would rather be in stasis then wait years of long boredom in the dark. Who knows how long those guys have to wait in those canisters, how many canisters the Combine have, and who got them in there. In theory, due to how Kleiner has Lamarr, I have no reason not to expect Combine couldn't do just as Kettle Chips picture. For some reason I also suspect some bigger Headcrab Zombies, similar to Antlion Guards maybe in their control.
