What gets me is it almost seems like the Combine had the Headcrab Union in their control, only considering when they used to drop the Headcrab canisters. I feel like that was never explained, an Advisor controlling those guys seems to make more sense. I mean, how do they live in those damn boring canisters anyway? I would rather be in stasis then wait years of long boredom in the dark. Who knows how long those guys have to wait in those canisters, how many canisters the Combine have, and who got them in there. In theory, due to how Kleiner has Lamarr, I have no reason not to expect Combine couldn't do just as Kettle Chips picture. For some reason I also suspect some bigger Headcrab Zombies, similar to Antlion Guards maybe in their control.
Except you know, for the fact there are zombines, the combine are just as susceptible to becoming a zombie host.
The headcrabs used by the combine are manufactured. They were bred from a breeding pod and loaded into canisters. One can assume they're put it some kind of stasis in the cannister since you can't hear them as you pass by any of the unfired ones. This could however be an oversight by valve.
The headcrabs are used as a biological weapon. It is also the reason you do not see the combine using poison or fast headcrabs since those were natural evolutions of previously existing headcrabs. The idea is that zombies can't shoot you. So clearing them out is easier. (Or in the case of Ravenholm, isolated enough that zombies pose less of a threat than rebels)
Everyone seems to think that this game will be a snow game. We don't even know that Gordon goes to the Arctic in Ep3, with the death of Eli that trip might be stalled, especially when something inevitably goes wrong with the helicopter. You could argue that Ep1 was a city game, Ep2 was a forest game, now Ep3 will be the snow game but I suspect VALVe will suprise us, rather than taking the obvious route of Alyx and Gordon getting on a helicopter and flying to the Arctic and finding the Borrealis and killing loads of combine. There will be more to it than that. But yeah, just saying think outside the box rather than just putting snow on the ground and a door that looks like it's off a boat and calling it Ep3.

Too lazy to do the HUD.
I like it.
The easiest way to make an "accurate" screenshot would be to map it, and have alyx perform a scripted animation and simple screen cap it.

I get it, directly copied from HL2 Beta, Photoshopped with fake snow and a cut-pasted in Advisor. Advisors do not appear in Ravenholm, but we will fight Advisors in EP3 for sure

You're so funny
I'm usually not one to criticize, but the poses on this page kinda suck (although Kettle Chips's one is at least intentionally bad).
I never intend to post any poses i make, but i'm making an exception here because even my poses would look decent. And that's just sad.

That, and i wanted an excuse to show off my hacked together Freeman head.
Enjoy/Laugh/Cry/Shrug/Cringe in Terror.
Just finished replaying ep2, and when they launched the rocket it got me thinking. I'm likely over-analyzing things, but the throwbacks to the HL1 resonance cascade made me think: maybe Gman's unforeseen consequences were referencing the rocket; maybe closing the portal will have 'unforeseen consequences' for instance stranding the advisors on earth. I mean, it's probably more likely the borealis, but wouldn't that be a great twist?
Tomorrow I'm gonna throw in a pic with the pile as well. It'll be rather shitty though.

Then we will spend several hours filling them all with bullets.
Then we will spend several hours filling them all with bullets.
I assume you're referring to the advisors.
...the same advisors that have demonstrated the ability to paralyze you with telekinesis and then eat your brain.
So uh, yeah, great plan.

Then we will beat the shit out of everyone at valve for being complete fucknuts by adding enemies that instant kill the player and cannot be fought.

I maintain my theory: Advisors will telekineticly pin you and your allies down, they will be about to kill you, and then Gman will pop in and be all "Doctor Freeman, I can protect you from psychic attacks, but it will use all of my concentration so I can't use my baller time-stopping powers to help you. Darn." Gordon then spends the boss battle shooting at Advisors with no help from his allies, who are still pinned to the walls.

What you should be asking is why the Lambda Satellite Network failed in HL1, and how it managed to work in EP2 a good 20 years later. Black Mesa was destroyed, so how on earth did Magnusson know how to utilize it? Passwords? Frequencies? Etc.
Episode 3 ARG..........I call bullshit.

Don't worry, even if it's an ep3 ARG it'll probably be a less boring way to tell everyone to keep waiting for another 2 years.

his very own copy of photoshop
I was trying to make some EP3 stuff like somebody else did in the thread. Instead of in game screenshots, I tried to do some Portal-like-ARG.

It wasn't my intention to pull your leg. Sorry if you got high hopes.
