Some people here probably will.
But who will they sex pose ?
I would actually like to see a combine-ized version of the Nihallinth or whatever it was from Half-Life 1.
Doesn't this look pretty combine-ized http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/24/12141-hl_nihilanth_large.jpg look at the metal implants!
Oh and if you want more proof. Try and listen to the Nihilanth sound files, he explains that he isn't the top of the food chain on Xen. Well not directly, but he gives you small hints.
Enough with all of the "hurr durr GlaDos cameo in the Borealis" bullshit. Portal happened before Half Life 2, and at the end of Portal, you see GlaDos get the everlasting shit blown out of.. her/it. GlaDos is gone, and she/it isn't going to just appear randomly on a ship that was abandoned.
Some of the textures shown in that scene (namely the blueprint slide that's shown during the reveal) has the word 'GLaDOS' in it, so it seems to imply the vessel has a GLaDOS unit in it somewhere.
Then again, it may have just been namedropping, but I don't see why they can't do that.
Uhh, he went to MIT and i think they have a requirement that all students can read and write
No they dont, or else students with physical limitations would not be able to come there. I think there might be a requirement to be able to read, but not write
Then why can't Gordon write messages? I know he's mute, but that shouldn't apply to his writing? Does the pencil vaporize, or does his hand become retarded?
Then why can't Gordon write messages? I know he's mute, but that shouldn't apply to his writing? Does the pencil vaporize, or does his hand become retarded?
No, his hands are super-glued to his weapons.
No they dont, or else students with physical limitations would not be able to come there. I think there might be a requirement to be able to read, but not write
What about armless blind people?
No, his hands are super-glued to his weapons.
So he has
1 hand for the crowbar
1 hand for the pistol
2 hands for the .357
2 hands for the grav. gun
2 hands for the SMG
1 hand for the AR2(He does! VALVe should fix that.)
2 hands for the RPG
1 hand for each grenade
That's alot of hands.
What is to say you even go to the arctic?
Maybe you don't even go there.
You have to go to the Arctic. You need to get to the Borealis before the Combine do.
You have to go to the Arctic. You need to get to the Borealis before the Combine do.
Something tells me the Combine got there first.
No they dont, or else students with physical limitations would not be able to come there. I think there might be a requirement to be able to read, but not write
Disabled students can get their program specialized for them, but that doesn't mean being able to write is not a requirement for the standard program.
I wouldn't call Gordon a pair of floating arms, but I would say his body is an empty shell intended to be filled by the player's imagination. I would like to be able to look down and see your character's torso and legs like a normal person would see looking down, like in L4D, at least I think you can do that in L4D.

He's just that awesome, it manifested itself in extra hands.
The difference being that Nomad actually talks and appears in cutscenes, but Gordon doesn't. Also Barney appears in normal Half-Life and HL2. That's what I meant. I wasn't being literal, just saying that Gordon is a blank slate for us to control.
Invalidated. Gordon doesn't talk at all.
Gordon also appeared in Blue Shift and OF. Making about as much proof as in Barney is. They're ALL for us to control. Some must seem more real than the others.

One arm is permastuck in the trigger-pulling position.

Don't forget his two extra hands you see when he puts on his HEV suit. I'm guessing he controls the Combine turrets in HL2 using mind power or something because I don't remember seeing any hands when firing those...

He also uses mind power to pick up objects and command citizens.

My patience is killing me for the hot Alyx make out scene.
I hope the controls will be like Hot Coffee.

Yes this is one thing that really pisses me off! They need to make hand models for holding objects and turning valves, and opening doors. It's really ridiculous.
That's only because Valve were lazy. The AR2 model was actually used for the IRiffle, a Combine standard issue flare gun. Later, they replaced a gun called the OICW with this model and added the Combine energy balls to it and removed zoom.
Well, the model fits better for an assault rifle than for a flare gun though.

Make me one with Lombardi. He's more of a troll in my opinion

everywhere
that's G-Man
Which is Breens step-sister.
GLaDOS was still alive at the end of portal or at-least there is more of it. All those sphere eye things at the end of portal.
