It looks fairly real, but I don't know if valve would replace the infamous lambda with a 3, it just seems like a big move since the lambda is the icon to Half Life and practically the source engine itself.
If that was Valve's big reveal they'd have used a better printing process, wouldn't have massive creases in the shirt that indicate it was pulled out of the drier and thrown on and would have adhered to the lambda^titlenumber logo format instead of switching to a titlenumber^lambda format.

Well, Half-Life has never really had stylized fonts, or something else for the number besides the actual number. It's always been very uniform, and mostly centered on the Lambda symbol.
He's not the only guy that has this shirt. One of the devs in my steam friends said that he has one too.
So finally we have another piece of evidence that it exists, this is the third piece of physical evidence we have, not counting stuff found in game

I don't think he would be happy knowing I'm posting conversations, but I assure you if you just go into Valve steam group and add a bunch of random developers, many of them will accept your request and chat with you from time to time. They are (awesome and funny) people too, not some Gods that do not wish to talk with mortals. They are also sad. One told me he can't experience the joy of gifts because their steam accounts automatically own every single game.

Aye, another Valve-guy comes to a Steam group chat I frequent. Pretty awesome guy, we continually moan at him whenever Steam does a mass disconnect. But in a touching way.
