I imagine it'll be something like that, but instead, while Gabe (or whoever) is giving a speech, all the power to the lights shut off, and a screen behind him goes completely black. Then you hear the vortigaunts chanting, and a Half-Life 3 symbol fades in and starts glowing for a bit on the screen (while you can hear the G-Man whispering "Unforeseen consequences..."), before fading out. Then the lights come back on and Gabe just smiles and continues on with the speech, like nothing happened.

Well, they have said that they were already planning it before Portal 2 was even released. I will laugh my ass off (and then probably cry many nerd tears) if they announce that and don't utter a word about Episode 3.

They will start some trailer about a new Portal 2 DLC and when everyone is like "..shit" and about to leave from disappointment the lights will go out and chains will trap people to their chairs and Steam will be shown and the news will say "A new Half-Life 2 update has been released" and the people in that room will not be able to do nothing, just watch and then footage from HL2 will be shown where in the game has been hidden an Episode 3 cover but no one else except the audience will know that and they would have to scream to the outside world. The trick is that they will get anally raped by 5 foot long dildos if they don't activate Ep3 in 15 minutes... Damn I'm crazy.
