One of many megastructures in the Combine Overworld.
I always imagined the Overworld as being once a lush planet, until its dominant race (the shu'ulathoi who would later evolve to become the Advisors) grew advanced to the point of needing a massive amount of resources to sustain itself. It began with merely mining for ores, but in the end the shu'ulathoi had consumed the entire planet itself until all that remained was a heavily polluted atmosphere, a raging planet core, and millions of industrial megastructures such as this one.
Also, moving skybox. If anyone wants to use the scrolling nebula texture just give me a shout and I'll put a download link up.
Is there anywhere i can watch the VGA's after they have been shown? It's on at like 4am for me so i can't watch it when it's actually on.

Thanks! I tried to stay true to the glimpse seen in HL2 while setting it aside from the citadel-spam depictions you mentioned.
Since I had a nebula texture lying around that I originally made for my TF2 map "The Storm" I thought I might as well recycle it since it's close enough to the alien sky in HL2 :v:
Something tells me Gabe will walk onto the stage wearing the Episode 3 shirt, talk about CS: GO, and not even mention anything pertaining to Episode 3.

Besides, I [i]really[/i] doubt they would do an ARG for EP3. It doesn't fit with the theme at all.
Honestly you guys, I hope so bad there is something that at least hints to Half Life Episode 3, a simple acknowledgement of it would be amazing, just so we can know something is being done.

That's really awesome, looks more like Beta HL2 overworld would look like. Also helps you imagine what a perfectly fine planet looks like after it was "milked out" by combines. Scary.
