I'm still watching the VGAs, if not just to see if Portal 2 wins anything and boo if it doesn't :v:
Considering I never have (and probably never will) give a shit about Portal 2, and we probably really won't see anything Half-Life related, I am definitely not going to be watching the VGAs this year. I think I'll go play more Dead Island instead.
So how many hours is it until VGA starts? 4?
Pretend the emails don't exist. If they aren't announcing anything, fine, but why would they tell us that they are ahead of time?
Or how about this:
Valve aren't announcing anything... they're getting Bethesda/Epic/Whatever to announce it for them!

Now we will hear nothing about HL3/EP3 until the next big gaming event, where the rumours will begin again only to be more false hope.
It's always like this with Half life. I really hope we do see something soon though.
I emailed pretty much every Valve employee just to confirm.

I'm not going to believe anything is fake or true, wether it's the mails confirming that they won't announce anything or the rumors: I'll be watching it either way
So it might be CS: GO info and DOTA 2 info.
I kind of feel like if they were planning something half life related for the VGA's they would've answered ambiguously. The outright denial they're handling this with signals to me that there won't be anything yet, though I'll still check out the VGA's just to see what Valve gets.
Still, this whole situation is starting to get very grating. I mean, by being this secretive about it for so long they're practically setting themselves up for this kind of thing.
