СПУТНИК НАБЛЮДЕНИЯ "ЛАНТАНУМ"
That first word is pronounced "sputnik," which was the first satellite launched. It was Russian and called Sputnik-1. That must be the satellite Wheatley is using to 'transmit' the message.

You realize Sputnik is the Russian word for Satellite right? And anyways Sputnik-1 burned up in '58. It said so in the article you linked to.
Observation satellite "LANTANUM"

Sputnik 1 (Russian: "Cпутник-1" Russian pronunciation: [ˈsputʲnʲɪk], "Satellite-1", ПС-1 (PS-1, i.e. "Простейший Спутник-1", or Elementary Satellite-1))[1] was the first artificial satellite to be put into Earth's orbit. It was launched into an elliptical low Earth orbit by the Soviet Union on 4 October 1957. The unanticipated announcement of Sputnik 1's success precipitated the Sputnik crisis in the United States and ignited the Space Race, a part of the larger Cold War. The launch ushered in new political, military, technological, and scientific developments. While the Sputnik launch was a single event, it marked the start of the Space Age.[2][3]

Sputnik 1 (Russian: "Cпутник-1")
It may mean that, but its pronounced Sputnik in russia. If its Sputnik 1, then its the first russian satellite.

LANTHANUM. Atomic Number of 57, In group THREE of the Periodic table.

I was looking at the video frame by frame, and look what I saw

Does the black thing in the red look like a Lambda to anyone else?
Edit: Random question, but did anyone else notice he goes in front of the text multiple times?
The word lanthanum comes from the Greek λανθανω [lanthanō] = to lie hidden. Lanthanum was discovered in 1839 by Swedish chemist Carl Gustav Mosander, when he partially decomposed a sample of cerium nitrate by heating and treating the resulting salt with dilute nitric acid. From the resulting solution, he isolated a new rare earth he called lantana. Lanthanum was isolated in relatively pure form in 1923.[6]

The text at the top of the Wheatley video says:

In english*: OBSERVATION SATELLITE "LANTHANUM"
The Half-Life for the element of Lanthanum is 60,000 yrs. Soooo 60,000 Valve time equals???
He says: 1 1 1 at the end.
CES is sometime between 10/1 and 13/1 2012, which means 11/1 could be CES

For the love of god this better turn into a Arg.
If you squint really really hard and really really really want to believe you can see a Combine Advisor interrupting the last few frames of the Wheatley transmission.

I cant see it. If it really is a combine advisor though than theres no doubt.
although looking really closely it kinda looks like the overlay on the screen the combine advisors cause when they're nearby.
Anyone hating on Skyrim is either a retarded fanboy or hasn't actually played the game. It received GOTY because it's fun. Don't get me wrong, Portal 2 is also fun. Really fun. But so it Skyrim.
And when you ask an entire video-gaming populace which they think is more fun, then the action game will always win. And it's not like the game is riddled with game breaking bugs that ruin the whole thing.
EDIT: Oh look there's a dumb rating already. Probably hasn't played the game.

It sucks that when that came up, was the time when my connection was going from SD to HD every 15 seconds. We'll have a higher quality version eventually.

Edit: 3D glasses did nothing except make 2 images, can't tell what either is.
