Is anyone else getting tired of them constantly holding out on us? Yah sure, it's their right to make it whenever the hell they want and I'm fine with that, but they really can't make a couple more concept art pictures for us to gawk at?
I just don't really care about Episode 3 or Half Life 3. If they make it, they make it. If not, who cares.

I am REALLY curious as to WHY are they like that? I mean, as soon as you start saying number 3 and adding Half to it, Gabe will run away like hell. WHY are they pulling this off, what's the reason behind all the no talk deal. My only guess I could think of so far is that even they don't know what to do, so they're just avoiding the topic.

Because they are not ready to show it yet. When the time is right, they will show it. I'd rather wait and see the game at its best then see it when it's not ready and therefore would not be as good.
It's Valve, making a game and then just releasing isn't good enough for them. It has to be the best it can be, which is why it is taking so long.

There's a difference between, maybe giving a little update, a tiny bit of news even. To releasing something. The complete blanket coverup Valve is doing on episode 3 is getting a bit frustrating.

Think about it, why would anyone in their right mind unveil the biggest game of the new decade at the Consumer Electronics Show, of all places?! Consumer electronics, not video games. It's all 3D tvs and sentient blenders.

They have said several times they are not done with Gordon Freeman, and they definately would not just abandon a series half way through. It is being made, you don't need any proof of it.
