Not confirmed but it is the most obvious, [sp]even though Ellis dies at the end, the first chapter will probably contain Alyx revenging over her fathers death, probably making the operation more aggressive[/sp]

I've always had the imagination that at E3, Gabe Newell announces something highly stupid (like ricochet 2, l4d3 etc.) and when they show a fake trailer the combine advisor/gman can be seen flickering until it finally goes to the gman and he says "I wasn't lying when I said unforeseen consequences wasn't I, Alyx?" shows some kick ass footage, then at the ending something spooky from gman (possibly the start of an arg)..
Idk why, it seems like valve would always pull a trick like that.

I used L4D3 and Ricochet 2 because they're the 2 games where nobody is asking for another game, and also it is a kick in the balls to every half life fan when we watch the E3 closely and there is no hint of HL, I think it is safe to say that every valve fan is wanting half life 3.

Perhaps at the start of HL3 they comfort her and Dr. Kleiner runs out telling Alyx to come quickly to the control room because their was some footage from Eli and it has his death wish like
"If I am not around when I see you and Gordan take off in the chopper, I want you to destroy the Borealis at all cost, that vessel is evil and it cannot be harvested by the combine"
To me that sounds something that would most likely happen, and most likely Eli will keep regretting the Black Mesa accident and shit. This seems like a good opening..

Nah, it doesn't have to. For example: Portal 2 doesn't have Crysis graphics and still, it looks very, very good, since the graphics "style" is good and fits to Portal.
