i'm not sure about this, but last ARG, when someone directly asked a valve employee, they don't lie to the community, they might very well avoid questions, but never lie (it's important to have consistency if you want community's trust)
Valve is working on DOTA2, a new counter strike, and keep updating previous games, but they might still have some resource left
valve is satisfied with how the community reacted to portal 2's ARG, it's likely there will be something similar for the next game of their franchise they announce
maybe gabe just gave the go ahead to start thinking about ARG, or decided to call it off for some time because it was generating too much hype, too soon

So, someone had to give the OK to turn the radio silence into a little bit of chatter.
Again, these are just the facts ma'am. You're welcome to dis-believe me. I encourage you to use your brain and decide for yourself.

This sounds more like a Dota 2 thing than an Episode 3 thing. There has never been any reason for a [I]Half Life[/I] game to have a dynamic dialog system, and with Gordon being the mute hero following everyone else's word, I seriously doubt there will ever be a reason for it.
They're showing off and giving their approach to the game technology they're developing, not the games themselves.
