otherwise that would not be here, in addition to other youtuber's similar experience, but is that the type of thing we really want to do in Episode Three? Especially after Gman makes him jump another decade at the end of Episode Three to the HL3 universe where Alyx is not a part of that game. Although, an official Valve one would be something else.
Man this is gonna be the last game on the story arc, it needs to be SOME EPIC SHIT. I want to feel like I'm in a movie, you know, bad guys (the combine) about to win, laughing their asses off at you, all shit breaking loose, a very important character dying and you trying to save them but fail horribly, but in the end the good guys prevail
Also, a main VILLIAN character would be ok, I mean, we had Breen (and may still have), but now it's all generic shit, hundreds of zombies, hundreds of soldiers, with zero personality. Having an elite combine soldier (with a name) that taunts you during the game and near the end you have an epic fight would be a nice touch

Why do so many people think Episode 3 will be the end of the series? Someone from Valve (Not sure if it was Gabe or Doug or whoever) said that it will end Half-Life 2, but not necessarily the Half-Life series.
What makes you think it'll end everything? I just thinkthat Breen will be back with a new body. The Combine proooooomised him. Needs some of the cut enemies, and maybe the Xen aliens will make an appearance, more than just the Vorts. I wanna see some snarks and alien grunts!

Here is one fan theory I came up with talking to a friend. I also sent this off to Gabe.
In Episode 3, Alyx and Gordon reluctantly travel to The Borealis after a brief but emotional moment with Eli. Alyx, immeasurably upset is consumed with grief, anger and guilt while Gordon tries his best to comfort her (Stop thinking about it you pervert, that wouldn't happen anytime soon). When they finally get to the Borealis, they find a massive battle between remaining Rebel forces and Combine. Gordon sets off alone as Alyx stays with an also grief-stricken Mossman in the makeshift headquarters of the Rebels somewhere in the ship's hold. Gordon travels around the ship, killing Combine and Zombies alike until he finally gets to some sort of machine that can recreate a resonance cascade. When he arrives, he is plagued with visions of The G-Man and the death of Eli telling cryptic messages to him, possibly hinting at the G-Man's origin. After a large fight with numerous Combine forces, Gordon is confronted with an Advisor who pins him to a wall while attempting to kill Alyx who made her way to help Gordon to try and help. Gordon can do nothing as he sees her being killed. Gordon blacks out and is confronted by The G-Man who gives him one last chance out of 'kindness.' Transported back to the scene of Alyx's death, Gordon manages to somehow escape the Advisor's grip and kill it. Unfortunately, the death also causes a large psychic explosion that injures Gordon and Alyx, causing them to black out. Gordon, after being plagued with more dreams of G-Man and Eli, wakes up to find he is safe with the Rebels. However, The G-Man hasn't givin up and attempts to capture Gordon once again. With the arrival of the Ethereal Vortigaunts, Gordon watches helplessly as more G-Men appear around the first. The screen fades to black as Gordon can hear,"No regrets... Mr. Freeman. Remember?"
