I don't know if this is to be a trusted source or not, but apparently one of my brothers friends uncle works for VALVe, and apparently said that they were thinking of possibly bringing back creatures from HL1. But who knows.

Could give some background to Portal 2. But the Borealis is somewhere in the arctic, and Aperture Science is not, but that doesn't mean you can't stop there on the way, or maybe go looking there for some details about the Borealis/Combine/look for Mossman there.
You might walk by Chell in a stasis chamber. See turrets, the companion cube, maybe solve a(simple) test chamber. It'd be cool to see some zombies lurking around there too.
Could they purposely be wanting to release Portal 2 first so they can make both storylines keep up instead of us only knowing the Half-Life side of it while being confused about the Aperature part of it?
