IMDB is never right about years when it comes to big upcoming projects.
It's coming next E3, if not this year - somehow.
*optimistic*

Don't be so gullible guys, if a beta were to come out it would at least be an announcement. And if Ep3 doesn't come out the next E3 I will honestly set myself on fire.

You know it's not going to come out the next E3 and you still won't set yourself on fire.
It's not that mod, I played it, it was terrible.
All I did was click "+ Add a game..." and add notepad in.
Next, I right clicked it and clicked "Properties".
Then, I typed in "Half-Life 2: Episode Three Beta" where Notepad was.
Simple as that to fake it.
To make my friends go "What?" I opened it up a few times and fed them some bullshit.

How do you "honestly" set yourself on fire? That makes no sense.
Don't you mean...

The "Blob" seems to have all the same attributes as the advisor. Shake position applies to when it uses it's psychic powers on the player. Brain cover/brain regenerate could be some kind of defensive action (Perhaps they are defending a power core/computer?). For all we know, advisors could have the ability to spit some kind of fluid, so spit position makes sense. I really have no idea what the Regenerator one could imply. I suppose it could mean that it can excrete or materialize some kind of healing ally? The rest are most likely movement related, so it would be pointless to talk about them.
Then again, it could be some kind of NPC version of Valve's fluid technology. I think I saw a video of something similar to that. Someone spawned an NPC in gm_construct that was made of all these shiny balls that would merge together, and when you would shoot it, the pieces that flew off would roll back and amalgamate.
Hydra?

Wrong, that was the episode 2 leak.
I hope to god EP3 uses DX11. If valve used it half as good as they use DX9 the visuals will be... impressive.
where can you download that?
no need, its a console command

I don't care about the graphics when it comes to Valve games. You just know that their games will be good enough for you to ignore how good or bad the graphics are. Though, I don't mind if they do make the game look better. Just optimize it well.
I'll be amazed if this comes out before Christmas.

well heres what i want
1. Realtime Dmm physics
2. Death animations or euphoria
3. Hl2 beta weapons (like the gauss gun)
4. An epic cinimatic scene were alyx beats a combine with her bare hands
5. PORTAL GUN! (very unlikely though)

DMM puts a big strain on processing power, and valve, more than any company want to provide an experience that people with computers at all levels can enjoy and appriciate, so I would doubt integration of DMM is a big thing for them.
Death animations, probably going to be in there, we have a more campy kind of thing there with TF2 kills, euphoria hasn't really shown itself to be as amazing as expected.
HL2 beta weapons, depends on what we find on the Borealis.
Alyx...I don't know, I never would've thought that she'd get any catharsis from savaging someone, she's always emotionally charged and I'd expect her to be fragile, only coming with Gordon to honour Eli's cause.
Portal gun...almost certainly not, atleast not weilded by the player.

i should have clarified it but what i ment was a check box in the video settings that turned it on and off

In that sense I think valve wouldn't be 100% about implementing it, I mean, if it's something we can turn off, then it's implementation would be minimal, and therefore not really worth the trouble.
I don't think valve planned on getting rich from steam while they were expanding unto episodes. They pretty much hit the goldmine, it's not like they need to release EP3 or anything.
episode 3 reveals that gordon was put in cryostasis for 200 years while alyx becomes a single mother (gordons bastard child) and works as a stripper at the local combine gentlements club. barney becomes a blubbering alcoholic and gains 150 pounds and makes it a duty to say "about that beer i owed ya" before he slams another brewski, because he's lost the plot. kleiner dies, the gman was really just a civil servant fucking with gordon trying to tell him his house insurance was 12 months overdue, gordon wakes up from cryostasis 200 years later and meets chell, they do lots of kinky shit with portals and then chell dies, all of aperture labs blows up into a million bits and the final scene is gordon looking at the camera and he says "I have a PhD.. yeah.. a Pretty Huge D-" and it cuts to black.

I would shit myself if Valve did something as freaky awesome as this.

I don't think Microsoft planned on getting rich from Windows while they were developing it. They pretty much hit the goldmine, it's not like they needed to release Windows 98-7 or anything.
I want more comic relief, there needs to be a bit more in half life games.

I have a different opinion on this. But I guess it depends.
:unsmith:It's nice to know Valve still remembers

I hope fighting an advisor won't be LOLLOLOLLL ROKET LAUNCHER OK.
The Source engine is limited so the chance that it will have DX 11 is 25%. It would only be possible if Valve decides to make a new engine, or if they brutaly modify the Source Engine.
That's what I'm hoping is taking them so long with EP3. Doing some serious upgrades to the source engine, and making it as long as half life 2.
Wrong, that was the episode 2 leak.
Ep2 had a leak? Were the maps included?
