So say it like it's confirmed they're going to do that.

While using the Borealis, you get teleported to a place where you see her stasis chamber and a lot of random locations across Aperture, causing some of the Damage you see in Portal 2?
So say it like it's confirmed they're going to do that.
Well it might not be in ep3. But they definitely confirmed that and I'm not going to look for the source.

Isnt this Gabe Newell's twitter?
I think the key word being probably, hm?

Verily. How would you do a Half-Life game that isn't an isolated single-player experience?
Gordon, take out that snipe--
Grenade goes off, announcer screams, "TEAM KILLER!"

Make an enemy do a flip -> L-L-L-LUDICRUS KILLLLL.
They could it make it more like modern warfare. Half life is pretty boring. Sometimes there is little action and boring talking. And in call of duty there is constantly action. Valve could learn a bit from Activision.

HL and CoD are two completely different styles of first person shooter.
Well, seeing the end of portal 2 maybe [sp]Eli will be transferred into a personality core like caroline did with glados[/sp]
Please tell me you're kidding.
Spoiler alert: [sp] You need to be ALIVE for that to work.[/sp]
Not to mention that doesn't fit the HL2 universe... at all.

not to mention portal is part of the HL2 universe
asc8.clip69.super8-movie.com
It's a trailer for a new porn game from Valve.
not to mention portal is part of the HL2 universe
But I don't want to play Portal in Half-Life. I want to play Half-Life.
Breen will become like Mr. House
so can you tell me the logic in how emotional cartoony turrets and personality constructed spherical robots with tons of accents and access abilities through a facility is exactly fitting with the non-cartoony environment that is half life?
really? talking turrets that show emotions fit in with half life? just because the borealis was linked in with hl2: episode 2 doesnt mean they have to include the cartoony elements of aperture science such as the turrets, robots, glados, etc
theyre completely different games, they have different themes, portal is a humorous fantasy cartoon game with wacky emotional characters in a wacky environment
only thing i can see fitting is an equipment thats slightly more serious than a normal aperture technology, something new and never before seen, perhaps a prototype portal technology thats far too big to be used as a portable weapon
Aperture's more comical environment is probably just because they were a lot more "commercial" than Black Mesa.
For example, Aperture sold their turrets; they would sell more if they looked nice and talked.
Black Mesa, on the other hand, never sold their ceiling mounted turrets or their internal soda brands.
were talking about how they dont fit in with the other game's theme and atmosphere, not why aperture is such a wacky hilarious environment as compared to the somewhat depressing atmosphere of the half-life series
I know. Just thought I'd provide an amusing fact.

or you know the probably means after ep3

gotta be out of context or something
gotta be out of context or something
Probably a VERY updated HL2DM. I would be fine with that. Really happy, in fact.
how can you not know about your own company's future projects *insert that cross armed emote here*
Yeah! Starting to slack off, Mr. Newell. :colbert:
I just hope it has Lamar in it, that is all.
I don't want hats.
[sp]And for some reason I keep thinking evil llamas are a good idea too :| [/sp]
Remember the piece of art you are required to stare at in the beginning of Portal 2? There is a large, snow-capped mountain in it. Could it be the same moutain the Borealis is on that you see at the end of Ep2?

Why are you getting so defensive? I never said the two series should cross paths and yes they're very different styles. The fact is that they're the same universe. Find something better to argue about because you're acting ridiculous.
[editline]24th April 2011[/editline]
it still doesnt excuse the games dont really fit together, theyre linked but theyre not deserving more than a crossover of the borealis and some special equipment thats never before seen in portal
honestly, people trying to do a crossover of all the portal turrets, co-op robots, glados and chell into half-life are trying too hard or didnt see any flaw in that as they didnt take into account that the two games have different atmospheres and themes, its like trying to crossover halo with half-life just because they both have the same theme of fighting against aliens in it
You're acting like I said they should crossover and that would be stupid. Also your comparison is terrible.
But I don't want to play Portal in Half-Life. I want to play Half-Life.
neither do i. you're reading it as if I'm agreeing with that other guy. I think his idea is dumb as fucking nuts.

dumbass, the story line of half life is the most entertaining part of the series, adding call of duty aspects to half life will be valves worst decision.
