Tampong :wtc:
He took that story from a thread that was made ages ago. Either that or he made it and reposted it here.
We need to find out what happened to Barney! I thought he was supposed to be headed for White Forest but he wasn't there in Ep. 2 and no one even mentioned him.
My theory on Barney is that he was moved avay from the main series for Blue Shift 2
I think that when you finally get to the Borealis, you'll find out the Combine have been there for some time now, trying to get the Portal Technology to work, and now it's almost ready to use, and you have no choice but to destroy the ship. An old picture from Valve to back my theory up...
Nah, Valve's just fucking with us.
episode 3 will be about gordon and his friends teleporting the borealis the the zombie goasts land, to make a pact with the zombie goasts and use them against the combine in the final battle. The final battle will be a more realistic game though, no more silliness like no iron sights and no ww2 weapons and no cover and regenerating health system. Also, I always found hl2 too colorful, the final battle should be a lot more grim. Basically a ww2 style massive game (the advisors will use guns with no telepathy), but with zombie goasts running around destroying everything.
Don't lie to yourself. After waiting this long, you will want to play it immediately, and playing through Half Life while in possession of Episode 3 will only be prolonged self-torture. Instead, finish HL1 through Episode 2 just before the release of Episode 3. You won't be tempted to quit and will have something to do while you wait.
Better yet, if the Black Mesa mod has been released by then, he could play through that instead of HL1. :D
I bet it's going to have one of those mysterious ending where you never know if Gordon dies or not and makes hundreds of people kill themselves.
Ok, for my theory I'll be using the following picture: The red areas are what we covered up to EP2. I believe that EP3 will take place around point 7 (Kraken base). The helicopter will follow the path of the C130 backwards from White forest and we might wind up crashing in either Air Control or Weather Control, what ever Valve decides to put there (Might be Air Control as it has a beta map) From there we head to Kraken base to meet up with Mossmen and then end up at the Borialis[sic].
In EP3, we'll start in the Weather Control and work BACKWARDS to Kraken Base. White Forest was not Going to be put into the game by the time your map was drawn. In general, that was it. It's starting at Air Conditioner, and going backwards on the C-130 trail. Then HL3 and ETC. until Gordon retires to simple human asskicking.
For the Borealis part, Eli; a person who worked at Black Mesa and knew about the Gman, could know something Kliner may not and didn't want to share... They enter the ship and find that they have to destroy it (GLADoS going insane again?) but can have a chance at flipping the switch before the fact...
I honestly don't think your going to the borialis yet, becuse alyx's dad just died so, she's not going to just suck it up and say "oh well," and climb into the helicopter if that's what your thinking.
Maybe for the first chapter you'll be at a funeral, that gets abrupted by some angry combine. Gordon and Alyx run into the chopper, but Kleiner get's shot and killed.
The end will be Gordon seeing something happen that causes him to black out, then he wakes up on the tram back in Black Mesa. He goes through the beginning of HL1 again, and then right before he goes into the test chamber, Eli pulls him aside and says "Look, Gordon. I have a terrible feeling about this. I want you to do me a favor, and walk right back outside and play sick or something. I'll take the heat from the administrator, just DON'T GO INTO THAT CHAMBER." And if the player does that, the game ends. But if he starts the resonance cascade, then he wakes up with an Adviser over him, ready to kill him, and freaking out from some kind of mental overload from Gordon beating his mental game. And who knows. Maybe it'll be Breen in a host body. [editline]11:04PM[/editline]
Do you guys think Gordon will say at least a single word in this episode?
Gordon's pinned by an advisor, who turns out to be Dr. breen. Dr. breen's Adviser host: "I've asked you this before, Freeman, and I'll ask you again." *Transparent overlay of lots of people fighting flashing on the screen* "You've destroyed so much, yet what have you created?" *Explosion, Dr. breen drops gordon next to his crowbar, who picks it up.* "Aaargh! Tell me, Freeman!" *Run towards the wounded Breen, Jump* "What have you created?!" Gordon: "Hope" Cheesy ending woo!

Then it was fixed. Not a bad idea, considering Barney still owes me that damned beer.
At first I thought: Unrepairable. Then it was fixed. Not a bad idea, considering Barney still owes me that damned beer.
Barney will piss in a can and tell you its beer. Because you didnt tell Doctor Breen "Fuck you" when you saw him
Hopefully more will be revealed about the g-man.
Do you guys think Gordon will say at least a single word in this episode?
NO. Would people please stop thinking he is a character? He is nothing more then arms and a weapon for you to control. Period. No face, No legs, Nothing else. He does not talk, have feelings or independent thought. He does not exist outside your direct in-game control. To suggest otherwise is a deep betrayal of the core of the entire series. So please stop spreading your fan fiction, fan art, models, GMOD poses, whatever involving him because it is WRONG. Thank You.
Barney will piss in a can and tell you its beer. [editline]07:45PM[/editline] Killa, SHUT UP. you don't know SHIT about Gordon, The Free Man. If he wants to be some fucking arms, he will. But he wants to be a person, because he may have some kind of chance with Alyx. And arms can't drink a beer alone.

I want 4 things: New enemies New weapons New vehicles Father Gregori's return If these could be accomplished, I will play until the Antlions come home. You're in the Borealis, you've fought Striders, Combines, and tons of Hunters. Somehow Gordon will find Breen and Gordon will do the most epic jump like 25 feet away off a platform. Like remember the way that dude in "300" leaps with his sword? Like this: http://bestgamewallpapers.com/files/lair/t/jump-attack.jpg Just imagine that, but Gordon swinging his crowbar instead. And Freeman's battle cry would be, "FUCK YOUUUUU!". Ad then somehow Breen falls out of a window or something because falling really high looks cool. Yeah. Explosions and stuff.
I want.... valve to release media or info.
Killa, SHUT UP. you don't know SHIT about Gordon, The Free Man.
Considering that about everything said in my last post has significant in-game evidence and/or comes from information in Valve interviews and developer commentary i think i know a great deal more about him and what Valve intends for him then you do. :smugdog:
If he wants to be some fucking arms, he will. But he wants to be a person
:ughh: How can you have any idea of what he wants when he has never spoke or shown any hint of having feelings or thoughts?
But he wants to be a person, because he may have some kind of chance with Alyx.
:cawg: Sure he wants to be with one of the worst characters in fiction. Since, Ya know, Valve has never had him show any emotion or feeling to her. Or to anyone or anything. I would say that i can't believe anyone would actually like Alyx let alone want to be with her a second longer then needed, But hey, Gamers these days...
I'm not sure there will be an Episode 3... I think things have changed, it would be a hell of alot better game if it was on a new engine.

No one wants to talk to and follow around a pair of floating arms. They talk to him like he's a person. Kind of the point of FPS. Cannot I have some frinking fun in a post? I don't even have a life, what else am I to do? I am a full-blown gamer, like you are to post here. I just made myself really depressed with that. I'm going to go lie down.
