Do his employers have any other employees? Hmmm... So do you think we will ever fully understand the Gman, and his 'employers'? Will they ever reveal it or will they just leave it a mystery?
His employers could play a big part in HL3. I expect Valve will keep hush on them.
Gman is a Timelord. They both do similar functions and Gman locks us in his TARDIS aka in stasis chamber where time doesn't exist.
Lets talk comics. There will be a point where the time eventually arises that Valve need to market this game or they need something to enforce an ARG. It feels almost certain that Valve will produce a comic. Personally I'd enjoy either a history of the Borealis incident especially concentrated on the Scientists/Engineers involved or instead some brief insight into the nature of the Gman. What part of the Half Life canon do you want them to concentrate on?
He opens inter-dimensional doorways that can traverse both time and space. Have you not played HL1?
Have you not realised he was blatantly either trolling or joking? Eitherway there wasn't really any need to clarify.

eh.. I don't know, FakeFactory can sometime do some nice map improvements (visual wise) [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13206175/cm1101.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13206175/cm116.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13206175/cm117.jpg[/thumb]
If only there was a FakeFactory Maps-Only Pack.
Models and Music are optional, the "HD" Models don't autoinstall, and if you delete the music folder, the normal Half-Life 2 music plays.
Music if also optional. It's in the setup portion. The only model I liked from it was the new Barney, only because he looked attractive to me. The environments are great, though. He uses a lot of dynamic lights.

The problem with Fakefactory's models is that, while they are technically impressive and very well made, they completely miss the point of the original character design. It's actually a very good example of how important thought-out visual aesthetic and atmosphere is over just high-poly models. Alyx is a perfect example of how FF misses the point of the original character design. Alyx's original appearance was supposed to be attractive, but subtle. She was designed to still look like a normal woman caught up in "this whole mess", but still stand out as an individual and three-dimensional character. Her appearance is never changed for the sake of titillating the player, and this makes her character all that much more appealing. So what does FF do to her appearance? Give her large breasts and dedicate a massive texture to her bra that pokes slightly out of her shirt for no reason other than cheap wanking material for the loneliest of nerds, sapping the appeal right out of her appearance. As for most of the other models, they usually just look out-of-place for the established art design. Granted, on their own, they look pretty damn incredible, but they just don't feel right when put into the actual game. As for the "ethnic" version of Alyx, I can only respond with one overused image macro:
FakeFactory aka "How much shit I can put into this model while making it look high-quality"
The problem with Fakefactory's models is that
Fakefactory didn't make almost any of these models, he brough/stole them froma 3d model web store.

GMan uses the briefcases to launch Episode Three thirty minutes early. Get all briefcases and unlock a special golden tie for your Steam page. Episode Three ARG.

We'll need a note explaining the release date of DOTA 2 as well
Who cares for DOTA 2? This is an EP3 thread. I'd love to see a Half Life ARG...that would be so epic!

I hope they do better then just half an hour though. I think they know there is so much anticipation, they know enough people are so desperate that they will participate in such another indie-feed game promo again. Its just how much indie developers are they going to get involved, not to mention the cost of indie games, and if there is a reduced pay rate on Episode Three. I don't think it would be asking too much if people get a discount on Episode Three IF in addition to Bribing for the Briefcase or how ever they name the early-access Episode Three promo. What would be uber if they had a promo that would get the next Half-Life out before DOTA2, but only in my dreams.
