The plan with the abandoned surface cities is to have a sort of destroyed beauty, and also be a place for mobs to spawn in day-light making it one of the more dangerous places. Possibly put some things people would use in the city, making them having to look through it if they want to find something of need.

Like a suspended minecart system to allow travel around the city? Maybe have parts of it broken or chipped off so that you can repair and use it?

I did think up something for a possible idea for the cities by combining steampunk and dieselpunk, as in keeping the Victorian art style yet utilize the dieselpunk art deco alongside it minus the grittiness (or semi-gritty, as its still post-apoc). And keeping the steam powered machines. Just saying this cause since humanity enjoys technology back then, they would of showed it off in many ways in the form of art, I guess. Its just an idea to make things look more impressive I guess.

So no one's gonna try to steampunkify my skin, huh?

[IMG]http://i994.photobucket.com/albums/af63/Neo_Hikato/Deepground-DeepHelm.png[/IMG] This, is Deep Helm, the first city within Deepground and the first city built within Deepground's lore, the birth place of the Deepground civilization. As of now it has two platforms, two aquaducts, and an overlook. Originally the edges had torches, but lava makes the pillar look more impressive.

God, making those lava pillars was like running from a car on foot. I had to dig down as fast as possible so it wouldn't: A. Kill me B. Overflow and flood everything

Shit I'm missing out. Is the server up right now? 13:40 GMT by the way.

When I come back, does anyone want to help me build a steam turbine building? It'll be where I built my aqueduct, on the bottom floor where the proles live.

I am currently working on an abandoned city that was one of the "sky" cities. Just give me a little time to finish it and it can be immersed in the rp.
