Well personally I've NEVER seen a paratrooper in my 20 hours playthrough but from what I've heard it's better than getting raped by 3 helicopters 2 of which has rockets.. + it looks cooler :P
I've only seen them on level three twice, in about double that time.
Good idea. I have had paratroopers though, and they rip you to shreds on they way down.
Would you rather paratroopers, or both?
i rather have both high level and paratroopers please, btw where is the code to the paratroopers ?
I would really like to wear the kind of parachute they use.
and since you took off bike from cops and gave them atv's instead, can you give cops jets too ?

I don't think they can have jets, as there is no AI routine for jets to attack.
As for the paratrooper code, no idea. It is a spawn type for helicopters. I am not even sure it will work yet.
No dice on the paratroopers
Basically makes the heat levels harder. Cops spawn more and faster. There are also APC's, military jeeps (like regular jeep, but tougher, carries 4, and spawn with turret sometimes) and ATV cops.
Motorcycle cops are gone (annoyed me because I can't flip them in pursuit) in preference for the ATV, which I did not see once while playing before.
I have updated the file so it works better now. I just figured most would not want it as they complain about the heat as it is.

Just got to level 4 heat. 2 APC, 4 Jeeps, 1 helicopter above. image in link

I'm going to assume that
<value id="19F1AA22" type="float">20</value>
is the time between waves, since those are the only ones where you decreased the number rather than increased?
So if say, I wanted to keep everything the way it is and just increase time between spawns, I would increase that value in seconds? I'm gonna try it and see.

Pretty sure that is how it works. Still in testing.
Has anyone checked the Leisureliner's files to see if it really does just appear once?
Has anyone checked the Leisureliner's files to see if it really does just appear once?
I've blown it up several times.
How do you remove the time limit from the demo? I don't have enough money right now for the full game, and I don't want to be limited to 30 minutes in the demo.
BOLOpatch will get rid of the timer and map limit.
It's not like you can't just add the leisure liner to the traffic so it appears more often.
It's not like you can't just add the leisure liner to the traffic so it appears more often.
I tried doing that. It will not spawn anywhere. Other vehicles usually not spawned (firetruck, superlarge truck) work fine, but not the bus.
Someone post the download for the material extracter. I can't find it in the old thread.

How are you doing this stuff? The wiki isn't exactly helpful...
The Silverbolt plane fully upgraded can take off from anywhere, I took off from a helipad on an Oil-rig lol. I took off from a piece of land only about 5 meters long.

Landing Plans isn't that hard if you're actually landing on a Runway, I've managed to land a 474, a Si-47, and that military Cargo plane, all on the first try.
[editline]09:16PM[/editline]
Ok only plane I didn't land on the first Try is the G9.
I guess mc01_lod1-rico.rbm must be the 3d model file for Rico in pc0.tab>characters>main character>rico>
Everything else are .dds texture files. I wonder if there's any rbm to obj conversion program. I want to dress Rico like a Brotherhood of Steel soldier, It would fit perfectly with the minigun :o
Anyone figured out where to put modified dlc textures? I tried to change the flames on the monster truck which I extracted, modified in ps, saved as dds dxt5 (same as my rico skins), repacked into sarc and renamed to eez. Placed it in all the folders, dropzone, archives_win32, dlc. Tried the dds alone in all dirs also. Same orange flames after all tries. Do they have to be repacked into the original arc for them to load? Sorry for my ignorance, but this post flies by and I have read 80%, might have missed this convo.
edit: nevermind, restarting the game made the save come back, thank you valve for your wonderful technology

Just Cause 2 loads the mods in the order archives_win32 first then the dropzone and finally the dlc so in order to mod the dlc, you will have to repack it.
Is it possible to change the game difficulty after choosing it during the begging, I foolishly clicked the hardest difficulty and It seems impossible to just waltz through a military base and fuck it up with ease.

Thanks for the info, is there a tool available to repack an .arc?
throw it in the dropzone and run the game then before you close it copy the seperate_files.arc and .tab and place them in the dlc folder with the same name as the one you are trying to mod.

Done, and done, but the game crashes when I load the monster truck. I cannot rename seperate_files.arc to pc_110.arc because it exsists, so what do you mean by same name? As of right now, I my lave.v999_dlc-monstertruck.ee and .eez files containing all of the original files along with my modded dds for the flames inside of seperate_files.arc and .tab. I also tried to repack the whole 110 arc's contents and it did the same. We need a step by step tutorial for this on the wiki, the dlc is mad hard to mod compared to anything else.
Is this thread dying?
Is this thread dying?
There's no need for this thread now that everything can be sorted into seperate threads in the subforum.
red feather can you give me another link to the file ?
there download limit has been reached, Thanks
They have uploaded the camera mods to this site now.

I have had a lot of experience with the dlc so ill post a guide on the wiki. If I have time i might even show how to make your own.

Any plane that you ride off of a cliff will fly.

We actually found a lift coefficient in the vehicle mods, that specifically affects objects with their wheels on the ground and how well they grip. Making a negative coefficient, or making it a larger negative, will offset high acceleration on cars. I haven't modded any vehicles myself, but giving the silverbolt or something else a positive coefficient should let you take off with like 5 feet of running room without having to go off an edge to do it.

And? I just said you can do that just by dropping it off of a cliff..
Goddamn, I just did some free roam with the new Pendulum song playing.
:flashfap:
