Is your friend me? I'm running the exact same setup, and yeah, shitloads of lag, haven't got any method for upping the FPS except for putting the resolution down as far as it goes and getting rid of every optional feature. Even then it's still pretty bad.

i'm thinking i should get this game, i doubt i'd ever really be bored by it because it took me over a year to be bored by mercenaries 2, and i'm still not bored of prototype
but is it really worth £40 or should i just rent it

Definitely worth the money, but get the PC version for mods (as explained by my pic above).
Consoles suck.
i'd agree if my computer wasn't on its way out and unable to run this kind of game, it'd be the ps3 version for me if i got it

Theres a few pirated versions out tho, I have one now, works fine with mods, etc.

Considering the server at Facepunch.com is located in the United Kingdom, and I live nowhere near the UK, The illegal software laws do not apply to me. Nor does my country of origin follow or enforce any "illegal" software laws.
Also, I do not see any rules topics or posts, how can you enforce something that is not publicly accessible?
Please use this thread to discuss JC2, not to debate the piracy rule - whilst there are no rules as in a list of dos and don'ts, members should use common sense and whilst discussing a game you have pirated is fine we don't need to know that you have pirated it.
