Polite/Friendly thanks for the working version of your mod, still some glitch in it sometimes but wow, was able to climb on top of the world mountain quickly without any helicopters, its awesome.

Check out file 0xFC60DCC1 (Dunno the real filename :/) in pc0.arc, it's a huge compressed sarc file which includes a file called gea05_dif.dds. I'm pretty sure thats what you're looking for. :P
So, I wanted to contribute to the community of this awesome game but can't mod, so I thought I'll try my best to do a summary of what's been happening(been lurking for some time) for all those who are lost/confused/new. Hopefully this will reduce the number of repeated questions and stuff. Please tell me if I got anything wrong or missed out anything :)
Modding "to-do" (things being worked on or have been suggested) :
-all vehicles in black market (maxovitsj) (does this include the hot air balloon?)
-remove sheldon's helicopter cutscenes from black market (maxovitsj)
-categories/sorting in black market (maxovitsj)
-adding weapons to vehicles (ryukaki)
-heat level controls (bolopatch beta)
-time and weather control (upcoming bolopatch)
-vehicle unlimited health/god mode (upcoming bolopatch?)
-in-game, configurable hotkeys (e.g. for multi-rope on/off, upcoming bolopatch?)
-ablity to use grapple while in vehicle
-option to default to chaos parachute for those with the dlc (instead of having to buy it every time)
-camera mods/first person mod
-civilian/vehicle population level controls
-making ninjas spawn in town (should be easily possible since I've seen all the NPC models replaced with strippers before, unless the request is for adding and not replacing)
-reset the "lost" island after the mission (make the lightning generators work again) (actually, ability to replay the missions would be great, I know I'll love to do "Fry me to the moon" again :D)
-vehicle and weapon stats editing (vehicle speed/health etc, weapon damage, ammo count, etc etc)
-able to use weapons/ trigger explosives during freefall (how cool would it be to blow up every plane immediately after you've jumped off it)
-multiplayer mods!!! (this is the big one)
Already possible:
-Texture editing (reskins, use gibbed aka rck's tools. Woovie says: Extract the vehicle's EEZ file. Use smallunpack. Modify the texture you want to modify. smallpack the directory. rename from .sarc to .eez. Put in dropzone.)
-Infinite health/ammo/grapple range, etc, please read first post (bolopatch + polite/friendly's mod)
-Player model replacement ([url]http://mod.gib.me/justcause2/retail/replacers/[/url] put in your archives_win32 folder)
-Adding vehicles to black market (just not all have been added yet)

Lastly:
-The island where planes crash upon approach is a story mission for the Ular Boys called "Stranded". It's also a homage to "Lost".
-The mountain with 3 faces on it and a huge fortress behind is also a story mission, you can go inside the fortress during the mission.

That specific spot is located on all 4 major city islands, on your map you can see the curved road on the hillside, making 4 of those spots the same.

Ok.. well i've looked for the balloon, but i cant find it because it is no vehicle.
you cant enter it, you just activate the burner.
maybe if i added the choppers and stuff, ill take a look then
Heatspawn.bin seems to have alot of references to some pal files. which i think contains the color palette.
But i can't find those files anywhere.
Also, does anyone know if it is possible to add balloon to blackmarket?

It's OK, thanks for trying! Yea adding all the vehicles and removing Sheldon's annoying cutscenes would be more important I think.
Too bad the devs HAD TO put the hot air balloon in the middle of nowhere.. literally.
That reminds me... teleport mod! (granted, unlimited grapple is pretty close already) Teleport to top of mountain, spawn vehicle, "drive" down, rinse and repeat :D

Yea, if i knew where the balloon is located in the game (i mean in the files you know) then it would be easy to add it :/
