Mozart symphonies for death themes are just fabulous.
Bleed Out was a boring Mutation, I'm going to shit myself if they bring back Last Man on Earth next. I wish they would make it a single-player option sort of like making Realism Versus a permanent gamemode. I'd also love it if Versus Survival was a permanent gamemode, because I like playing Versus, but I don't like playing with retards who just have to go and startle the Witch when I just said "Leave this to me guys, I can cr0wn her", plus it's kinda like a deathmatch more than completing a campaign.
You can play any mutation by using console commands

Do tell! I'd like to be able to play LMOE whenever I want!
Do tell! I'd like to be able to play LMOE whenever I want!
In the console:
"map [mapname] mutation1" for LMOE
mutation1 = Last Man On Earth
mutation2 = Headshot!
mutation3 = Bleed Out
mutation4 = Hard Eight
mutation5 = Four Swordsmen
mutation6 = Nothing
mutation7 = Chainsaw Massacre
mutation8 = Iron Man
mutation9 = Last Gnome On Earth
mutation10 = Room For One
mutation11 = Healthpackalypse!
mutation12 = Realism Versus
mutation13 = Follow the Liter
mutation14 = Gib Fest
mutation15 = Versus Survival
mutation16 = Hunting Party
mutation17 = Lone Gunman
mutation18 = Bleed Out Versus
mutation19 = Taaannnkk!
mutation20 = Healing Gnome
community1 = Special Delivery
community2 = Flu Season
Late and useful!
A surefire way to spark a discussion.
Personally I love them both pretty equally. Left 4 Dead was dark, gritty and atmospheric with a great cast of characters ( whom I prefer over the Left 4 Dead 2 team. ) Where as Left 4 Dead 2 felt more vibrant and appealing.
Something about the environments in Left 4 Dead 2 just speak to me more, like they feel more realistic. The suburban neighborhood in Hard Rain, the French Quarter from The Parish, along with Dead Center, it was an urban campaign but it had a nice change to it with lots of roads and freeweays. Unlike the cliche heavily urban cities like No Mercy and Dead Air ( don't get me wrong they're both very fun campaigns. )
I think what sells it the most for me in L4D2 is the day time. I was so tired of having to play zombie games in the dark, it was a nice change of things which adds to the realistic feel I mentioned earlier. Instead of it being like " Oh it's the apocalypse? Gotta be night time. " it made it seem like it was any other day in any other city with a bit of chaos and zombies thrown in.
L4D1 gave me a Land of the Dead feel. That's why I like it :v:

Left 4 Dead was supposed to be cliche in the first place, but I agree with what you said
I wish you could combine mutations...I'd like to try LMOE with Bleed Out, that would be AWESOME.

Last Man on Earth + Katanas + Hard Eight

Happy Easter, folks!
;29231970']L4D2 on expert is harder than L4D1 expert for me. I think it's because L4D2 has all the new special infected.
I don't think it so much the game or the infected being harder as much as it is the maps. Those Crescendos where you have to run to turn something off are just hell on expert.
So I was gifted the first Left 4 Dead,and now,I just praise the fact that the Spitter was added into the sequel.
I think an infected like the Spitter should have been in the first game. The problem with the first game was that it was very good at getting people to stick together as the SI were designed to rape people who ran off by themselves. However, a new problem arose in that you can just sit in a room and melee everything to death and wait until the people on the infected team gave up. If only the new SI had been in the first game, instead of Valve releasing another game a year after and rendering the first one obsolete. Give me boxes all you want, but to me L4D2 felt like what Valve wanted to make when they made L4D1.

I don't see anything wrong with that really. It's what Valve does, just look at Portal. They gave us a short 2-3 hour game with limited features then expanded on it in Portal 2, with much more content and storyline added in.
The same thing happened with Left 4 Dead, they expanded further on what they wanted. I don't really have a problem with shelling out $50 for a new and improved Valve game that although is mostly the same as the previous but features much more new content.

This. I bought L4D2 for the same reason I got Pokemon Crystal as a kid. Sure it's the same game but there's new locations, tons of new items and shit. You can even go back to Kanto if you want. Sure the extra Pokemon could have been in Red and Blue becuase the plot didn't change at all but who gives a shit. That game was awesome!

Pokemon games have a plot?
:v:
At least its Versus Survival.
Love that mode.
Pokemon games have a plot?
:v:
You start off as a young aspiring Pokemon trainer eager to take on the world and become the worlds greatest Pokemon master. Your best friend and rival throughout the game also wishes to achieve this goal and you accomplish this task on your journey to complete the research of your local professor who is too old to go out and capture the necessary specimens to finish. Along the way you find out there is an organization of Pokemon thieves set out to rule the world using their Pokemon. You and your trusty companions fight for justice taking down hideouts of these thieves who are mistreating the Pokemon and their trainers in a struggle for world domination. You find their destroyed lab south of your hometown with writings of a genetically engineered super Pokemon cloned from Mew. After stopping Giovanni and disassembling Team Rocket you use the 8 badges you fought across the nation for, for admission to the elite four where you battle the worlds greatest trainers and ends with a final showdown with your rival from Pallet. With your childhood dreams realized, you have nothing better to do but stand on mountains and learn sign language.

Is there a console command that keeps the ragdolls from disappearing? I'm making a machinima.
At least its Versus Survival.

I didn't see, is that a permanent mode or is that a mutation?
[editline]Edit:[/editline]
Nevermind, found out.
Stuff.
It's funny because the :v: meant I wasn't being serious.

Either that or increase shader levels.
Hey i wanna download new maps for L4D2 on PC. Anyone know any site I can get it? I been to some sites but when I download a new map, I extract the files ... but it's just an empty folder. I fear it's a virus though the website seems pretty legit.
I don't have to pay for new maps do I?
Anyone got any sources for new maps?

Making my first survivial map right now. Pretty simple (Main lobby upstairs, 8 rooms on 1st floor, basement downstairs led to by long ladder), but creating it for a few friends to play around with and see how they like.
Might post progress later. Have main floor and bottom floor done so far.
Since when was thirdperson in versus disabled?
It was enabled?
